Are these the full versions? What's the catch?

Will I be able to get upgrade pricing for Parallels 7 when it comes out?

I got Parallels 5 in a bundle and upgraded to 6 ( also got VMare for $9.99 via competitive upgrade!). I'd say yes, you will be able to upgrade.

P6 came out between October to December last year ( IRC ).

Has anyone from canada bought this? Any extra charges? And does civ IV work properly on the new macs?
Lol i just noticed Stella is from canada, did you recieve any extra charges other than exchange rate changes? thx

I was considering buying parallels and liked the look of 1password so it was cheaper to buy just for those.

already deleted that help app. it is so annoying its unbelievable.

The only app that looks interesting is Parallels. Unfortunately, VMWare runs the roost in the virtual world, and every VM I receive is written for VMWare, so VMWare is where I will stay. Besides, Parallels is substantially less stable than VMWare doing the same basic functions.

Rubbish - Parallels is so much better than VMWare fusion...sure it can't compete with the enterprise versions, but it's not designed to. It's much quicker than VMWare fusion (i've tried trials of both recently), especially if you start trying to do anything intensive in your VM. The coherence mode is also integrated much better in Parallels. I wanted VMWare Fusion to be a better product..having used VMWare products professionally for many years now (and because it's cheaper!) but it's just no where near as good.

Purchased this pack yesterday afternoon (wasn't on MR then) - just for Parallels really, although i'm usign Divvy, 1pass and App tamer now..probably the others too eventually. Worth it just for Parallels though!

Sweet, my free trial on 1pass was about to expire

Same here. I was about to purchase 1Password when I saw this bundle. I have also used Parallels 4 but newer upgraded so Parallels 6 is also a nice upgrade.

What about the DVD apps? Will they make it easy to rip a DVD and put it onto an iPad/iPod?

Bolded is all that really matters in the grand scheme.

Virtualization programs are not for Grandma to run Windows XP because she doesn't understand Windows 7. Virtualization by its very nature IS an enterprise application. That means whatever program you use, must be able to work in EITHER scenario: personal or professional. Parallels can't touch the enterprise.

In any case, all people keep talking about with Parallels is speed. Speed, speed, speed. That is NOT what should be the priority. Same argument about Verizon vs. AT&T - AT&T is faster, but nowhere near as stable or reliable as Verizon. VMWare is substantially more reliable and stable than Parallels under the same conditions. Parallels' snapshot feature corrupts VMs, guaranteed. Hell, just running a VM period results in corruption over time.

This bundle is very tempting. I will be purchasing a 27' iMac i5 and an 'ultimate' 11' MBA soon.

I never used a window virtual apps before so I a, still deciding between paralells or VM Ware. Seems like a very good price as I don;t have any of these apps on my current old macbook.

Should I go test out parallels and VM Ware at an apple store prior of buiyng the bundle?

Can I buy this while at work (to get in on Divvy), when I'm not at my MBP? Or do you have to download at time of purchase?

I believe it should be the same but I haven;t bought yet. Anyone?

Also if I buy and install it on my current macbook and want it on my soon to be iMac, how am I suppose to de-activate it on the macbook to transfer it on the iMac?

I already got Tech Tool 5, Parallels 5 so is it worth to buy rest of apps for $49 ?

I have those and 1password and have decided that there isn't enough there to justify $50 for me. But it is all about what each apps value to you is.

1password is a brilliant application though, and if I was in your situation then I would go for it because of the value that app brings.

I'm hoping for a bundle split with someone, otherwise this bundle won't be for me.

That is fine, you don't have to download right away.

I'm surprised no one's mentioned A Better Finder Rename yet.
+1 on that one. It's awesome for photographers, so you can name the files based on content/date/etc. Also, an easy way to change the date back on media files that you've edited.

I didn't buy this bundle - already have 1Password , Parallels 6 and DVD REmaster Pro 7. Buying this for TechTool Pro 5 was fairly tempting - until I found out that TTP 5 isn't the latest version. I'd have to spend another $39 to get the latest.

I can't speak for Canada, but I bought this and former bundles from Germany and there were NO additional charges on my creditcard.

The applications are the normal versions, like the ones you would by directly. So the procedure to move the licence from one machine to the other is the same as for the same program when it is sold outside this bundle.

Just pulled the trigger. Am I not reading this right or why does everyone saying that it is parallels 5 when on my e-receipt, it is parallels 6?

btw- I bought it using my PC at work so I can only confirm tonight when I download the package.

It is Parallels 6 you get. The issue is over TechTools Pro 5, when version 6 was released recently.

gotta love bargain bin junk most people don't use anyways!

Wow, someone is having a bad day. First bashing Apple for trying to help its Japanese employees and now just blindly tossing insults at a software bundle. Fun.

1Password is the opposite of "junk" and your comments just prove you have no idea what you're even insulting. 1Password has got to be at the top of the list for must-have Mac app's.

Right on the edge for whether this one is worth buying, but I think I'll pull the trigger. Upgrades to Parallels and DVD Remaster Pro, plus 1Password and Hands Off! make it just interesting enough for me.

The 1Password folks must have just jacked up the price of their universal iOS companion app in anticipation of this bundle, as it just went up $5 the other day. Too bad. Would love it if there were a way for these bundles to include codes for iOS apps like that too. It would make the 1Password portion that much more attractive.

Since I already have these versions of [Mac DVD Ripper Pro - taken] and TechTool Pro, and MacUpdate allows you to gift individual applications in the bundle, I'm happy to offer them to whoever's interested. For each one, the first person to send me a private message gets it. MacUpdate wants your first name, last name, and email. So please include those in your message, along with which one you'd like. Please don't reply on this thread. I'll update this post when they're taken.

Update: Mac DVDRipper Pro is taken, but TechTool Pro is still up for grabs.
