im calling something nobody's expecting, like apples version of the amazon kindle, which would be over one million times more attractive than amazon's.

That would be the updated Newton or eMate, which people aren't expecting until Fall in time for the new school year...

As far as the Garageband thing - they're probably just testing the projector setups. I can just see them now - "let's launch Garageband and start a slew of massive rumors.."

'Something in the Air' is definitely related to this press release - it has to be:

http://www.apple.com/pr/library/2006/nov/14ipod.html

That's a good call but I think that iPod integration is not keynote material.

If it has something to do with wireless, it better be big... expectations and hopes are really high. But then again, the banner might just be misleading. Last year's didn't say anything about a phone, although it hinted something had been brewing for quite a while... I like the idea of Google and Apple teaming up for the auction of the spectrum. Laptops, desktops and what-nots with integration to whatever network those two could build would be really cool. "Air" then takes a new meaning.

Looking forward for my second MWSF since a MR regular :D Yippie!

I wonder what they are doing with Garageband, any other year I would have thought that it may be the next version, but they updated late last year so i don't think there will be a new one.

My guess...you will be able to send your independent podcasts, music, lectures, or anything you create directly to iTunes Store and you will be able to sell them through iTunes Store.

Second guess...you will be able to add music to your iWeb pages through Garage Band. Sounds for buttons, background music, page transitions, sounds effects, etc.

Third guess...We are getting Voice Recording on the iPhone. They will show how you can edit it in GarageBand.

I don't understand why macrumors is not posting the rumors about the new MacBook Air. 9to5mac is a much newer website and yet they got the rumors...

If the Expo next year is January 5-9th then the keynote would be on the 6th.

Which is less then two weeks after christmas. Most stores say that people can return any products they bought in december, as late as two weeks after christmas.

That means anyone thinking that a new computer or something will come out at Macworld, they can buy it in december and if it doesn't come out then they are happy. But if it does then they can return it, as long as they made sure the store they bought it from has that policy.

Or Garageband becomes social? Make music with your friends online?

Please don't use that term it's too M$.

The FCC has a listing of the auction and Apple's not part.

The GarageBand screen appears to be running Tiger...it has a white menu bar and a blue Apple logo...

10.5.2 allows for solid or translucent menu bars.

Something's in the Air = TV TUNER on the AppleTV (me thinks)

"Macbook Air" is a retarded name. Awful. I doubt they'd use such a horrible name for the (rumored) ultraportable.
i agree. why would the :apple:TV have a usb slot? and i alsoagree about the macbook air. its just 9 to 5 mac trying to seem like they have info. "somthing in the air" banners + no inside info + wishfull thinking = "Macbook air":D

That link to the gallery of new photos is still down. If anyone saved the photos, it would be nice to see.

new macs shipping?

If steve releases a new laptop (thinbook or whatever), and he says shipping today, does that mean that apple stores will have this laptop on tuesday or will it take a while for them to get it. I am also wondering this about hopefully new MacBook Pros. Will they be in stores on tuesday??? Thanks

Nice! Maybe it's a box to convert over-the-air digital TV to good 'ol analog so that my Grandmother's huge, wooden TV with the built in record player will continue to function after the digital switch over.

Thats very good!! I like those a lot especially the bold ones!!

Maybe they will announce iAir, bottled "apple" air for Apple Fan Boys, so they can survive between MacWorlds and Mac Updates :)
