I'm pretty sure he's talking about the matte version.

So your trying to say they will remove it completely.

eh I'm just hoping the anti-glare option get's carried over to the 15" MBP in another year or so when it's time for me to upgrade.
That's what I thought too. Possibly the battery tec as well.

Looks like one to me.

Ah damn it! Well at least for $50 bucks you can get the ufgliness of the black bezel removed as per here

and have you matte screen and lovely silver bezel, man how I wish they do this for the 15 inch too, come on!!! let's lose the black bezel glare sh.it....:D And of course at $50 bucks for apple this is a bargian (tongue in cheek) they could of charged something like $200 by their current rates....oh welll....

That said because the bezel is actually smaller it doesn't look as fugly and large as the smaller macbooks.

Really? I remember everyone around here saying "Lame, who's going to buy that?"

Funny how last year's "disaster" is suddenly an amazing example of how Apple used to be great.

I wouldn't say it was great...it was just less lame than the one today.

First, it's not always the same price, in many cases the file is cheaper.

Second (and the biggest reason for me), with CD you can't buy individual songs.

When I buy physical CDs off the internet (newburrycomics, usually), the physical discs are $9.99. Sure, if you go to the mall, you can buy a CD for $18.99.

You are correct with the individual songs though. Personally, I don't prefer individual songs, but rather complete albums. To each his own...

When will that be?

It's looking like the end of March. Apple have released Mac Pros 6 and 8 weeks after new processors were available in the past. So mid-late may seems the most logical time for a new Mac Pro based on current public information.

Yes, I never understood the logic for buying a lossy, lower-quality non-physical song for the same price as a real CD that contains lossless songs. Hey, a sucker is born everyday...

1. You can buy a single tune
2. Most albums are usually priced lower than CDs

what ever happened to iphone push notifications???

It was shoved in the same departement at apple where they are designing the new mini.

Really it's sad, the mac mini is loooooong overdue for an update, it was normal a lot of people expected an upgrade because it needs one and because of the reference in the kext, which was pretty nice "evidence".

Now apple just ****ed it up, I'm glad they will quit events like this if they can't deliver.

The new mbp17" is a step down for me, charging for a matte option, not having a changeable battery, I would rather take 3 batteries with me for 12h+ with hibernates while changing the batteries for 1 minute than a battery I could never change...

The iphone push was indeed something else I having been waiting since they first talked about it, it would be a fantastic solution for instant messaging ...

Apple got sick together with Steve Jobs :(

G-Mail has ads alongside my e-mail, which is all I'm familiar with. I wasn't aware that their document programs were so different.

Hmm. I have no adds on my gmail nor on my Google Docs. Along the left side of my e-mail I have small boxes (that I chose to have)for: chat, labels, quick links, Google Calendar, and Google Docs. No adds, no banner, no links, and best of all, free.

I just checked a handful and they were all more expensive than the download versions. Sure, sometimes you can get the CD the same or cheaper, but that's not always the case.

I really feel screwed over. I don't have a computer. I'm using my Mom's and have been since last week knowing that I would be able to purchase a new Mac today. Now I have no idea what to do. I would get a Mac Pro in its current form IF it had the Display Port on it. As it is today you can't go to an Apple Store and get a Mac plus a 23" or 24" display. You are forced to buy a MacBook if you want to use the new 24". What a letdown. I'm seriously considering going Hackintosh just because I'm so sick of Apple not keeping their product lines updated regularly. If they won't let me keep a Mac long term and just update parts as I need to, the least they can do is keep their products updated so I can upgrade yearly.

The black bezel is there to improve perceived contrast. So it does have a function and IMO the bezel on anything but the Macbook (which has bigger issues to begin with) isn't really that bad.

I really wish they had added the anti-glare display option at least for the 15" Macbook Pro as well.

I was really looking forward to a new Mac Mini though. Shame. What's the next time Apple might have something new?

I for one am RELIEVED that this keynote was rather underwhelming. For one thing, it taught us all not to take Jobs' charisma for granted. The Phil Schiller RDF just wasn't the same. :(

SECONDLY, all the idiots out there pining for the iPhone nano, flaunting their "trusted sources" and "exclusive insider information", now have a foot securely planted in their mouths. Maybe this will teach all the gullible... well, less-than-knowledgeable types to take everything they hear with a grain of salt.

Just my $0.02.

When you're reading a message in g-mail, on the right there are buttons for things like "print" and "new window."

You don't have "sponsored links" under there that often relate to subjects found within your e-mail?
