Hey, look guys, I'm a bit pissed at not seeing PB updtae, but I think Apple realise a lot of pro customers are gonna wait for the Intel version, so why waste time and effort on it.

It is a wise move, shares wise, to move into the video market, because eventually the TV networks will clamp down on Bittorrents like the RIAA did on Kazza, Napster etc. Make a few examples of people and you soon get the message.

It's a good move by Steve to move into this area now, even though he always claimed it wasn't worth it. It will help Apple to grow and fight off M$ attempts to muscle in on the home market, giving them enough money to continue to develop the Mac.
I agree, this can hopefully only mean good things ahead for the world of apple. Still a bit miffed at no PB updates.

No PowerMac? No PowerBook? No new screens in portables? No new screens at all? 320x240 tv-shows?

Yeah, it's the "year of the HD"....

Sweet, iTunes 6 is sure to be awesome! I feel that I really will use the TV show function, as I can't really afford TiVo service and I end up missing Alias every week because of athletics. Downloading now!

new imac

New imac has spot for shuffle to clip into on the side.

Good news! The imac is 1.9 and 2.1, not 1.5 and 2.1! The Apple iMac page has been updated!

Don't you think it is possible that the sales of PB might drop to sub-zero if they keep this lineup until summer 2007? The difference between the iBook and PB hardly motivates a 50% premium. Moreover, the PB specs wasnt exacty "prosumer" six months ago. Just imagine 18 months from now....
Can't go "sub-zero" unless they start paying people to take them!!! ;)

I'm guessing you meant "so cold as to be frozen". I'm not sure - I know I bought my iBook 14" last year and use it for light Final Cut Pro 4 work but if I was a full-time "pro" video user, I'd opt for the higher resolution screen and option to put more memory in the thing. (More than the iBook that is).

Also, do the current iBooks even support Motion? Mine doesn't (1.2Ghz 14").

They slowed down the iMac!! Now 1.5 instead of 1.8 or is that a misprint. I assume that this means they have switched to teh low power chips but a slower processor is a bit of a kick in the teeth.

Just saw the official site, it is 1.9 or 2.1Ghz. And that new iMac looks gorgeous.
