I think it's pointless to try to prove anything to those apple fanboys. Apple has blinded them so they will deny everything Android has to offer. Ignorant people complained Android is hard to learn.

You Android faboys think adding stupid useless features to a phone makes it better.

Flash on a phone is simply stupid. It's not powerful enough, iPhone users can't visit most car-manufacturers sites and can't use Hulu. Big deal.

Apple's attitude is absolutely stupid, I agree. Saying you have the right to force the entire business into not-using-Flash with just THREE devices is stupid (iPod/iPhone/iPad).

Are you actually incapable of thinking for yourself? TRY a device before you knock it. Flash runs just fine on a phone running a Snapdragon.

I cant wait for the EVO. Ive had the iPhone for 3 years and am looking forward to a change especially since the iPhone has grown stale (design and OS). Ive used Android before and its pretty much the same as an iPhone to me. The major thing I love is the fact that the phone runs at 4G (and 4G is available in Charlotte, NC) and its a mobile hotspot.

I also like the idea of choice on the Android compared to the Apple way. Apple has really gone over the edge lately and I love their stuff!

Cant wait for the summer!

I TRIED a device running Flash (HTC HD2). It was horrible, you can't click stuff can't drag stuff. Menu's don't work because you don't have mouse-over. It took 2 seconds to refresh the screen.

I only used it for a few minutes so I can't judge the battery life...

HTC HD2 uses Windows Mobile which is bloated. Flash Lite runs just fine on Android.

Should be interesting to see how the new Flash 10.1 and Android 2.2 runs at 4G.

Looking at blue boxes because no Flash on my iPhone is a pain!

Ill be sure to test it when Froyo comes out. The roumour is its going to be announced at Google I/O so hopefully not too long now.

If its crap I'll turn it off. :D

If it's not over priced and Sprint still offers the $69.99 everything plan the Evo maybe my next phone. I've owned every version of the iPhone and enjoy using it, however ATT's lack of tethering and poor 3G coverage has me thinking about the move. My main concern is if while tethering on the Evo can I make a phone call? I've heard yes and no... No on 3G, yes if on the 4G network? Will have to clear that up before deciding for sure. Another item I have to investigate is the ability to connect to Exchange for work? I don't use Gmail and if it's limited to that it's a no go.

Aside from those few issues it will come down to the UI and ease of use. The iPhone may have it's limitations but the multitouch UI makes using it the best smartphone experience I've used to date. I have played around with numerous BB's including the Storm and Storm 2, a friends Droid and a few Web OS based phones. Assuming the network and the OS can deal with a few requirements I have the Evo will probably get a "30 day trail" and see how the UI performs. I'm sure it will take some getting used to, and if the 4G is as fast as they claim I'll make a few concessions for the speed factor. That is one of the main reasons for me to switch anyhow, tethering and mobile speed for my job.

Looking forward to June!

Not really. The other HTC phones (Desire, Incredible) are already better than the iPhone. The EVO is like the Incredible on steroids, so it's a safe bet it will make the iPhone look like nothing.

You're saying this like it's fact. It's not. I hate my Nexus One and can't wait to get rid of this Android OS and go to iPhone OS 4.0, even if the specs aren't quite as good.

What do I think? There are too many HTC Evo posts on this iPhone forum. ;)

+1

I appreciate the critique

I am very spoiled with Apple OS

I played with the HTC Incredible and did not find it as tight and polished as Apple OS

I'm hoping Android 2.2 with Sense UI and Flash 10.1 at 4G speed floats my boat

My plan is to test drive the EVO and iPhone 4 at the same time for a real world comparison before I make a final decesion

EVO with 4.3" screen, hotspot, and Flash will not make it a easy decesion

I do have a iPad when I want my fill of Apple apps

Impressive, though I'm not sure I want to go on sprint's network. They're still losing more customers then adding and I still here bad things from them.

Also while they are the first out of the gate with a 4G phone, the question is much of their network is 4G. I was asking a customer rep this in NH and he said that not in New Hampshire, but maybe Boston, but couldn't be sure.

double checking their coverage map, it only looks like they have 4g in 11 states and even then its city by city.

I'm not saying AT&T or Verizon is going to be better, just that 4G look to be premature and I'd not use that as a deciding factor.

I think it looks pretty awesome. If I were looking for a new phone Id consider that.

The only drawback is that 4g is still in its infancy. There is no 4g access within 100 miles of me.
