I didn’t get mine from EE either, though I’m not convinced a new phone would necessarily fix the problem. It might, but I’ve tried some of my other iPhones (which I only keep for debugging apps) and I’m experiencing the same problem with and iPhone 7 and an iPhone 6s, which makes me think it’s an iOS issue more than a hardware issue. Apple are thinking the same, which is why they want me to keep supplying logs to them.
That said, if you’re wanting a new device to see if you get lucky, Apple should be easy enough to get a replacement from, I’ve never had issues getting replacements from them in the past.

I'm not sure, my iphone 7 is on ios13.1 and works perfectly, my 4g ipad pro is on 13.1.2 and works perfectly, it's just my 11 pro that isn't playing ball.

Apple have run diagnostics and seen that there are loads of dropped calls, got me to do a factory reset and set up as a new iphone, not from back up. Said to get back in touch if it persists, it has. Contacted them again yesterday, got told that becasue of the factory reset I have to use the phone for another 24-48 hours to get more data for diagnostics. Later after I got off chat with them between 17:07 and 17:19 I had 14 calls drop

Blimey, that’s even worse than mine. Is that even with VOLTE disabled?

VoLTE is on

Have you tried disabling it? VoLTE seems to be what's casing the bulk of my problems. It's not a resolution by any means, but to get my iPhone working reliably until the issue is resolved, I've disabled VoLTE and it makes a huge difference.

i'll give it a try, but guessing it won't help data not working for everything else 😅

I was pretty surprised when it restored data on mine, but I’m now just over 24 hours without a problem. Well, there is a problem obviously, VoLTE is causing me nightmares, ah, I remember when things just worked. Simpler times :D

What’s the going rate for beta testing Apple products for them?!

Ahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha..... can’t be bothered typing any more of that.

I will say though, it’s bloody annoying, especially if you’re an ancient Apple customer such as myself, who can remember when things did actually ‘just work’.

Of course it was never perfect, no-one can achieve a 0% failure rate. But this kind of debacle is becoming all too common. Sure Apple is a much bigger company, manufacturing millions more devices than they did back in the day.

But - just one more thing - If you’re making an iPhone, which is an amazing device, I’m sure most of us will agree, don’t forget the basics. Don’t forget that an iPhone, as the name would suggest, is a bloody phone! Get that bit right before you do anything else ffs.

I’m with EE too and it’s been driving me batty. I have found that disabling VOLE, but keeping LTE enable makes it more reliable, so it just drops back to 3G for calls. Right now I’ve been going for almost 24 hours without losing my data connection, though I know for sure if I re-enable VOLTE I’ll lose data in under an hour.

I am in contact with Apple over this problem, they’re collecting debug data from my device so as to investigate the issue further. Hopefully there will be a resolution before too long, especially if more people supply debugging information to Apple engineers to investigate why it’s happening.

where do you find the volte setting in 13.1.3?

Did you confirm with your carrier that it is definitely a hardware/software issue with Apple?
I haven’t had the time to spend on the 3rd support call with Apple yet but the phone is Still dropping calls. I have upgraded to latest beta in hope. Apple argued that it made debugging harder but the calls were dropping on live anyway.

Latest beta but still no difference. Call was ok for about an hour but then dropped twice in quick succession. BUT, ooo, look, it takes lovely pictures of my dinner!

Anyone else able to correlate issue with Mail Notifications as I mention above? That’s what my issue was 100%. Had to disable notifications for Mail app.

I received an o365 email notification and the call dropped that instant. I got back on the call and sent a outlook.com email back and forth and there were no issues. When your called dropped, was it from o365 emails?

If your theory is true, you could move your email accounts to another email app like Outlook then test for call drops....

I have been using Edison the whole time I’ve been having issues. I removed the stock mail app.

Update:

iOS 13.1.3 and turning VoLTE off has made no difference.

I have an appointment tomorrow with an authorised service provider after my third time contacting APple support this week, who have been f***ing useless and have had to explain my issue from the start every time, to which they have just suggested trying things i have already tried. It's like they don't care and haven't actually bothered to write notes on my support ticket
