The Bluetooth dock works great as it charges both together really well.

Not to mention that placing both iPhone and Bluetooth headset into the dock together is the method for pairing them up. Does anyone know if there's a different way to pair the apple bluetooth headset to the iPhone?

umm...

dumb question: what's so good about a dock?
I didn't see anything about what it does. It looks like it just props the phone up and recharges it.
thanks!

i was at the at&t store and on their display that had 1st gen iphones in the new 3g iphone docks. they fit fine.

thats not really the direction we are wondering about :(

need to know if 3g iphones fit in 1st gen docks ;)

also seems a bit questionable that a newby would notice such a fine detail...
not to doubt your integrity sir, just we do get the odd scallywag!!!

well i actually just made an account just to post that, i did not take any pictures but i might be able to tomorrow if anyone is interested..

Yep, you can definitely see the specific curve, but you'd think Apple would create an ingenious way of making the original iPhone work with this right away, no adapter no nothing.

Also a shame it doesn't come with the dock, would looks sooo good on my glass table top /don't want to scratch. But again, the iPhone wouldn't cost (initially) $200 but $215ish.

LoL Sensitive material, must install july (11th..)

That white dock will get dirty too quickly...I want a black one. :D

I actually had the white dock for greater then six months. I think the Black one would show dust before the white one. I prefer white or even an aluminum one to match the iMac.

Will the dock come with another USB cable and AC adapter or is literally just the dock piece (requiring the use of the USB cable and AC adapter that comes with the iPhone)? It would be nice if came with its own especially for the price.

For anyone that purchased an additional dock (not the one that came with the original iPhone) from Apple: did it come with a USB cable and AC adapter or was it just the dock piece?

I've never used my iPhone dock... my iPhone is always in a case so it's ridiculous to have a form fitting dock. Plus I have an iPod Nano, so I prefer a universal dock or cable.

Save the $30 and apply it to a $130 TEKKEON NavDock A/V dock with remote. It's aluminum so it looks nice w/ modern Macs, has on-screen navigation (though video is unreliable for iPhone/iTouch... fine with the new Nano). Full disclosure: I write for a magazine and TEKKEON sent me one.

Anyone tried 3G iphone in original DOCK yet?

When I pick up my phone tomorrow, I need to know if I should get the new dock.

Considering the edges of the new phone are smaller, and the middle is close to being the same as the old, has anyone tried putting the new phone in the old iphone dock yet?

I'd really like to save the money if I could.

Thanks!!!
