It just gets you into the feeling of the times, like Total Recall and Starship Troopers when they did commericals like that. It just goes to show how they can make something so mainstream

Wow, this is the best game... ever. I have been playing it most of the day without getting bored at all. The cut scenes are amazing, the sound is crisp, and the gameplay is just.... awesome. This is a great way to end the series, with such an amazing game, and I hope everyone enjoys playing this. I still haven't installed the MGO patch, I was going to overnight but there is a huge storm going on and I had to turn off my PS3 and unplug it. I was playing until the screen flickered and the speakers shut down, it's all working but I don't want to keep it on anymore. I'm a bit into Act 2 but just wish this would never end.

I'm extremely impressed thus far. Very solid (har har) My only real gripe is i wish it could hit that lovely 60 fps that it peaks at when you are indoors all the time... soooo silky smooth. Pretty ass game too, damn, and MRU is totally right, the cut-scene to gameplay transition is outstanding.

i dont think Hideo is an apple man im afraid to say... I just think Konami sold out. There is SOOO much product placement in it its unbelievable. But so far game is soo good! And Online rocks... I missed online when they shut down MGS3S servers.

Is it me or do some of the cutscenes play out 4x longer than the process of getting from one to the other ?
Seriously it's about 10 minutes game / 15 minutes cut-scene at the moment.
Thank god they are pretty though but still
Just wait till you get to the end... the final cut scene is easily 3/4 hour long. Amazing though...

AHH ANOTHER SPOILER!
But yeah, I'm incredibly surprised how everything is wrapped up and LINKED to all the Metal Gear Solids. Must have taken so much time editing and writing the script to make it perfect! I'm sure it probably even took a whole year to make sure everything made sense. It's just incredible in how much nostalgia the game gives you too.

Just finished the game. All I have to say is: WOW. Probably the greatest finale in a videogame ever. Hell, I'd even go on to say videogame/movie, because it is essentially a movie. It is definitely a masterpiece. Whoever hasn't finished it yet, you're in for a big surprise...

)Picked up the LE today for $7.59 after I traded somethings in at Blockbuster. It's easily the best game I've bought this generation. Only have a PS3, Uncharted was my #1 game this gen. but MGS4 takes the rank as #1 and I'm only 4 hours into this game. This is my GOTY so far.

Yeah I know! It's like, every forum that you go to, every thread about MGS4 is spoiler free, unless otherwise stated! I wanna talk about the game, but I just can't, given how much stuff and spoilers that's crammed into this game. It's amazing how much respect is given to this title compared to others!

I just beat the 3rd b&b. I loved the little easter egg right after the act 4 mission briefing and the background audio while walking around that area in act 4.

I'm not entirely sure about that (screw the article, check the comments). We've got some staunch MGS fans here
It's exactly like Zelda, GoW, Oblivion etc. You'll get pounced on for saying it isn't perfect until long after the hypes died down
Personally I'm not a fan of the overly long cutscenes but I love the ultra high production values. Still give it a solid 8/10 though but not something I'm rushing to finish. I just don't have the time to be able to sit down and play through a game like this. It's on my to-play list next to MP3.
