I doubt it. I thought the same about the Surface Pro. NOPE.We have a ton of these at work and almost all of them have hardware issues. Hopefully Book 2 has fixed these...

YOU have issues, YOU being the key word. I don't have any of those issues. And? By virtue of that response, it's clear that you don't understand the problem.
The paint chips off your brand new car and you take it back to the dealer. "Sorry, sir, that's a DuPont issue. Nothing to do with Ford..."
ROFLMAO. Head down to the IT department and ask if they're cool if you run Windows without any virus protection.
"Overblown" = "it exists in a hugely larger capacity in Windows than in macOS"
All I need macOS to support is iOS, but how is that worse than the (nonexistent) Windows continuity features only working with Android?
If Windows had continuity features, I wouldn't have put it on the list...just like if my work laptop hadn't *just* BSODed, it wouldn't be on the list, either. But neither of those statements are true, so there they are.
Many free AV programs out there, one of which is Windows Defender and is recommended by many folks. People keep mentioning "Windows rot" and slowdown but I just never see that issue.
And the term iSheep lives on too, but that doesn't mean it's true. Sorry, but I have had little issue with Windows Defender and other AV programs like Avast. The fact that "Windows rot" is even a term should tell us something, and full-time AV programs go hand-in-hand with 'slowdown'.
And? By virtue of that response, it's clear that you don't understand the problem.

For real. I have to run so much mandatory software on my Mac that it ruins the experience.OMG my work MacBook Pro is beachballing and I can't change some settings, some setting are turned off!! macOS SUCKS!!
Do you know how ridiculous you sound slamming windows for the incompetence of your IT department to setup your machine ?
I took my MacBook Pro to the IT department and they offered to re-image it.... I'd be back there in a few weeks time with the same issues ..... do I go around complaining how macOS is??
Never compare a work laptop to a home laptop ...... it's a stupid comparison ....
That applies to macs....

Your PC ran into a problem and needs to restart. We’re just collecting some error info, and then we’ll restart for you

Looks like the keyboard isn't 'optional' anymore?
So, it 'looks' faster. What hidden API's did they use for that, and faster doesn't mean better. Given the less than reliable history of the older Surface models, I'll reserve judgement until the DOA, and failure numbers start coming in.
Microsoft doesn't have a stellar record with their hardware attempts. They should just give it up and stick to shipping beta software to unsuspecting people that believe that macOS is too hard for normal humans to operate.![]()
I’m surprised people aren’t complaining about the bezels as there are other Windows laptops with much smaller bezels.
And if you want to use an App like ZBrush? Which of course you won’t...I'd still pick the macbook. The whole 2 in 1 thing is overrated. If I want a tablet i'll use my ipad, if I want a laptop i'll use my laptop, etc.
I know what you're talking about. I still don't and haven't had any of those issues in years and others are telling you this as well. As I said, sounds like your hardware is failing. So you didn't even recognize any of the things in my list? These are all new terms you've never heard being discussed by anyone?
If you're using Windows, you're using the Registry, and that is probably the most disgusting thing about any OS that's ever existed.
So...
Surface Book 2 Top CPU - i7-8650U, Score - 6588 (https://www.cpubenchmark.net/cpu.php?cpu=Intel+Core+i7-8650U+@+1.90GHz)

Microsoft if full of it...as always

Looks like a MBP killer to me.
Looks to me like the same price as their MBP counterparts. Does that mean we can stop bitching about Apple's prices being too high?
