Agreed bro well saidSpec wise, this is a lot better computer than the Macbook Pro, we'll see if the hardware holds up over time⛔️.
I find it amusing how someone could treat Windows as such as POS OS, when it's powering so many businesses (particularly financial services) responsible for trillions upon trillions.
The OS isn't that complicated, or rubbish - and let's not pretend macOS is some kind of perfect OS either.
The Apple fans are in force today. Whether you love or hate Microsoft, at least give some credit for making a nice, competitive product. Good competition helps everyone. Computers and OS's are made by imperfect humans, and each OS has its issues.
Right, in other words, different use cases, different devices. The Microsoft Surface is great for professional Apps like ZBrush and real coding. It’s also great for texture creation, you draw make changes in a big 500-1000MB psd texture file and all changes are instantly reflected inside the 3d App, at the same time you can comfy code/add a few python IK animation tweaks to your 3d scene. There are uncountable professional hybrid device usecases which makes the iPad looks like a toy, and for the MacBook you would need a additional Wacom tablet.your right...i don't...if i did I'd buy the appropriate device to use with that app .
I've had more issues with bugs and issues with the latest releases of OS X, then I have with windows.
I hate to admit, but me too. MacOS and iOS. There are bugs in Safari I’ve reported to Apple years ago and still persistent. I had those same problems in chrome. I reported it to google and one month later it was solved.
I’m wondering if Apple has enough coders to keep up with the pressure from all their competitors.
Correction: That is what you think. Don't try to be the voice of the people.
Sounds like a problem with your box, not the OS.
Ok, I stand corrected. It should have been: Don't try to be the voice of peopleWell, if you want to get really pedantic about it, he's correct, it _is_ people, he didn't qualify all/most/some, I suspect it's at least two, so he used the pluralIt's definitely not cats, as far as I know, our cat only has an iPhone ...
Macs generally last longer than PCs but all my PCs are custom built. My desktop will always be a custom built windows machine however once i sell my laptops, i'll be the proud owner of a macbook pro.I have to admit, if I wasn't a programmer by trade I wouldn't touch windows with a barge pole. I would never use it as my personal computer. (I just use the VM to program it and thats it).
It's such a weird product. Because I've invested literally decades into using it I'm comfortable with it, it's second nature to use it. But I've never actually liked it. Never. Never thought, wow, this is really great.
It's like in 2017 I'm using the UI for something like SQL server management studio and i'm thinking, what is this trash?
I feel like they just keep putting licks of paint over the whole thing. And when you drill down just a little you see UI crap from 1995 or something. I just don't get it. An undeniably useful OS marred by a slavishness to enterprise principals (i.e. not delighting users, work is not nice etc..).
You pay $2500 dollars for the privilege of the using Mac OS on a machine that wouldn't look out of place in your living room. Thats why you buy mac. Paying $2500 to use windows?? I just couldn't do it to myself.
I'm running a Phenom II 1055 stillMacs generally last longer than PCs but all my PCs are custom built. My desktop will always be a custom built windows machine however once i sell my laptops, i'll be the proud owner of a macbook pro.
Microsoft has a lot of marketing muscle. They need to compare it to a MBP since that is their price point. I guess if you want half baked hardware with an OS overrun with security vulnerabilities then talk to Santa! I like that Apple doesn’t have to use such low marketing techniques like resorting to fake battery life reports which Microsoft has always done.
Ya windows virtualised but gave up now macOS is the future
Yeah same here, I love my MacBook Pro, but i must admit, sometimes i think...i should have bought me a Windows Laptop. I miss professional macOS features, and my next Computer probably won’t be a Apple device.I hate to admit, but me too. MacOS and iOS. There are bugs in Safari I’ve reported to Apple years ago and still persistent. I had those same problems in chrome. I reported it to google and one month later it was solved.

ikr. i hate using steamBut you still have to run a dogs breakfast of an OS on it.
and nothing works with that osBut you still have to run a dogs breakfast of an OS on it.
I run all three and anyone who brags about Window stability does nothing more than surf the net, chat with a buddy and play a few well known AAA games. Throw some heavy engineering apps at it, large mesh renderings and more, and count the moments to a blue screen.
On macOS and Linux you're most likely to get a segfault on the app or in Linux case an Xorg lock up. OS X will be humming along.
