When it comes to pitching, this first game of the London series is an absolute joke.

This ump has a strike zone the size of Texas..... Jeez....

I know Gary Sanchez has been doing well this season, but he hasn't changed what has pissed me off about his play. Almost every swing he does is a swing for the fences swing. Two strikes with a RHP? All you need to do is throw a slider or some kind of breaking pitch that is low, outside of the zone, and opposite side of the plate and 95% of the time he will swing at it and strike out. Don't get me started on his lack of hussle.... Red Sox 1B just fumbles the baseball and he probably could still have gotten him out at first if he decided to throw it to the pitcher covering first base........

EDIT: Strike zone size of Texas for Yankees batters, size of NH for Red Sox.

EDIT 2: Also Boone's bullpen management sucks.

There was deffinatly something different about that stadium in London where the ball was carrying differently. It's not a coincidence that over 50 runs were scored there in 2 days.

Angels pitcher Tyler Skaggs dies, he was 27. Game with Rangers postponed.

Via USAToday app.
Natural causes seems to be the cause of death. Shocking to see as these guys get physicals every spring.

Unsurprisingly Boone was suspended for one game after his tirade.

In the tightest division, quality of moves at the deadline:
1. Cubs
2. Brewers
3. there is no 3

IMO

Well, maybe the Reds...

Mets get Stroman? Huge head scratcher.

7 wins in a row and only 4 games out of the wild card spot, not looking like that much of a head scratcher really. They have enough talent in their lineup and starting rotation to be one of the top teams... Had their bullpen not been so absolutely atrocious, this season would have looked a lot different. They just need to fix the bullpen and keep the rest of the team intact for next season rather than panicking and tearing it down.

Now what is a head scratcher, is Cashman not adding a pitcher when that would have been the one piece that would have solidified the teams chances to make a deep playoff run. Meanwhile Houston made it really hard to beat them by adding a premier arm to their already loaded roster.

...The white ones especially! The uniform numbers didn't show up well on TV and I imagine it wasn't much easier at the game, unless you were in the front row. The whole "Players Weekend" nickname idea is kind of lame, although I admit that some of them are interesting.

Look at all of those bandwagon fans in Tampa. Where were they a month ago.
