ya and when you goolge iphone screen shots or search macrumors forums there are hundreds of screen shots!

well if you look at his screenshots, the battery % and everything seem to match up of when he took them as we asked. Also, it does say Ron's iphone at the top of one of them.

really wishing att wouldnt tease me and then give me the red ! when sending the pic

installed the carrier update and now mine is working!! you need to call AT&T and have them put the MMS plan on for this to work i think though.

According to AT&T and I quote "ATT is not releasing MMS features until mid summer, some iPhone's are receiving a trial of MMS depending on there location" I asked is in available in my area? "ATT is not responsible for this feature until the it becomes available for all iPhones, right now APPLE is testing there app for it, so please call APPLE for that info"

I am calling BS b/c Apple is allowing other carriers to have MMS now, but ATT not til the end of summer.

Did anyone else get this?

because they are bored and need attention !

Why don't we just get off his ass and believe him? I think he really has it, Ron21, what is the first letter of your last name? Maybe their updating accounts by last name like ATT did with emails from POP to IMAP.

if we believed every little fake rumor on this forum........

Thought I'd post some screenshots of what I'm talking about:

In the first pic, you can see that MMS's are failing to send. Second pic, the MMS toggle is in my Settings>Messages pane. Third, you can see that the area to enter the MMS server settings are not there, yet internet tethering option is. I have done nothing to enable any of these.

And chris you have NEVER and I mean NEVER installed a custom ipcc file or anything? Nothing at all?

just got off the phone with AT&T. The CSR tech told me that all 3Gs phones should have MMS working now and if its not working we need to download something from the apple website. When I asked her what I needed to download she told me "I don't know I work for AT&T not APPLE!... go make an appointment and ask them" then she went and quickly read their little sign off card "thank you for calling AT&T have I resolved all your issues?" and before I could say no she said " great thank you for using AT&T have a good day" and hung up.....

so not sure what to say about calling AT&T....

my thought for them rolling out MMS in regions.... would it really be a regional thing vrs a phone number thing? my meaning is is it something they have to do to the accounts or the towers.

Reason I am asking is here in DC there are about 6 different area codes. I know New York has probably 6 as well.... I am wondering if they are rolling out certain area codes of phone numbers. I am a 202 number so god knows when they would reach me...

Ok questions:
1)Are you on a 3GS?
2)Can i see a screenshot of you carrier settings
3)Did the little camera just pop up in you sms box out of nowhere?

The little camera and mms settings for Messages magically appeared after a restart, but I still get the "!"

There seem to be 2 Chris's in this post, but I'm going to assume you mean me, since it was right after my post.... No, I've done NOTHING to enable this...no ipcc file, nothing. I'm running iTunes 8.2 on a MBP, so installing a custom ipcc isn't possible. Like I said earlier, I honestly don't know if the "Internet Tethering" setting was there on Friday when I got the 3GS, because I assumed AT&T wasn't allowing it yet, so I never checked. But I do know that the MMS toggle wasn't there, because I looked for it Friday.
