There are now at least 4 different blues on the screen. I don't mind that, but the darker blue has to be made a bit lighter to fit in with the 3 (or so) light blues. I'm talking about the blue strip near the top of the screen, where the "Search Forum", "Rate Thread" buttons/menus are. Also, the blue surrounding the "Page 6| <<First | 1 | 2 | 3 | 4|" bar near the bottom of the screen.

The site seems too narrow, with lots of white space on the left and right (15" MBP, 1680 x 1050 res). I'm not getting font issues like the others.

Yes.
Another glitch seems to be that files aren't uploading to the forum. I tried to attach one to this post about 5 minutes ago, and it's still trying. It normally only takes about 10 seconds or less.

I came on the site today and I forgot about the redesign. My mind went from "did I click on the wrong bookmark?" to "OMG I have to post in the redesign thread!" This is great. Congrats, arn. Great implementation of the design. :)

I will come back to this thread and post any issues I encounter with the design. :D

I agree. On my 1280x800 13" MBP (running 10.7 latest build if it matters), I have a lot of white space. See screenshot below:

Vs the old design that I had open in a tab from a few hours ago:

There is a "Fluid" option at the bottom of the main page which extends to the forums.

Finally!

I like it. I also like the fact the plus and negative ratings have been removed from the front page news and now incorporated into board comments...much more logical.

And what is the user cp used for?? Maybe we had it before but never used it. Just seems to be another place to view subscriptions?

It's not new, it's been there probably since MR started using vBulletin ages ago, and it's always been in the same location.

You may want to ask yourself what else have you've been missing  :p

Haha. Yeah I kinda figured that... I Didn't really search around for a lot of forum features. But now with the redesign I'm trying to check stuff out

But what's it for... Just newer subscriptions??

You have to have used the user CP to get an avatar. or edit a signature.

Well I always use the quick links drop down. Nearly every single selection under quick links pops up the control panel on the side. Plus you can directly edit most of those things from one of the quick links.

I aways use "subscriptions" under quick links which has both the control panel and all subscriptions listed. So when I started hunting around I found user cp which basically is the same view but only has a few of the most recent threads instead of all of them. So I'm guessing there is no real difference...

Almost the same reaction I just had. The redesign look pretty good so far. I don't mind the white space along the sides. I can get used to it.

change this **** back !!

is there an option to change it back ??
this redesign is ****ing **** ! dont redesign something that works ???
i dont get it every big company doe sit and they shoot themselves in the foot,.

I like the redesign so far. Especially on my iPad it looks much better. On my 27" Cinema display I had to enable teh Fluid HD option in order to get rid of the white space left and right. It would be nice if the site detected what resolution the Mac has and enabled the Fluid option automatically.
