Well I’d be angry if I spent 2K on a product and the display broke because I took off something I thought was a screen protector. It’s easily done.
If you spent 2K I’m sure you’d take proper care of it. These reviewers get free devices and beat the s*** out of them, intentionally trying to break them. Samsung did a lot of testing and these fools mangle them in a day or 2. Highly suspicious (click bait).

This gets exempt?

We get it you hate Apple but love to be on a Mac site...strange.
It's almost like Samsung hired you.

Lol. Now y’all know why Apple always likes to wait before they jump on a new fad. The first ones out of the gate usually stumble. Then Apple sees what they did wrong, and they perfect it.

This is why it pays to not be an early adopter. I must admit I am really surprised that they broke this fast. I was expecting we would hear about malfunctioning displays in three to six months of use, not in just two days.

I feel bad for the Samsung engineers behind this because they must have known it wasn't ready for prime time but the executives pushed for it to be released anyway. The fact it can't even close shut without that abnormal wedge shape says to me this technology is too early for sale.

Samsung has multiple designs a year. Hard to imagine I know. My favourite is the infinity-O, much better screen than Apple has ever made.

Samsung software wins awards for security, Tim's software wins awards for emoji.
Here's one for you:

There are lots of other feature both user and security in every iOS update including many that don't get the attention of emojis.

Also kindly indicate which security awards Samsung software has won and what type of software, i do find it a bit difficult to believe any Android software got any security awards.

Yup, while I am still sceptical of the concept I am quite certain that some more work was and is needed to make this a possible mainstream product.

Or they can just play their customers like idiots by placing the blame on them while not owning any issues that arise. I mean I guess both ways could work, right?
Your comment has nothing to do with the Galaxy Fold or what I said. Seems I hurt your fragile feelings with what I said which I don't know how, I didn't lie

Based on all the whining in this thread I’m not the one with fragile feelings.

My comment was directed not so much at Samsung, but their rabid supporters who accused the users of being so stupid to insert the pen backwards. Samsung didn’t need to tell people they were doing it wrong - they had an entire army of fans do that for them.

Or maybe they did. After all, Samsung has been caught more than once (and fined) for paying people to shill for them online.

Typical Samsung making garbage to try to look “innovative “ and it sucks ass. Then apple does it when it’s actually possible and shows how it should have been done

Not defending Samsung (if the design is flawed a refund should always be given) but they might be having difficulties trying to create an entirely new class of product. Apple is having difficulties just making a keyboard (tech as old as the headphone jack they laughed about)
apple tried a new approach to the keyboard

To be fair, given that there are probably fewer than a hundred devices out there and there are at least four reports of problems, that suggests this is a real, and probably prevalent, problem.

Just like the butterfly keyboards.

Fair enough. Could be a high percentage indeed. To be honest, I have no idea about sale numbers of Samsung (I'm not interested in their products at all), but lets see how they deal with these reports. It's a fairly new device isn't it? New on the market this month I think? Meanwhile Apple, 4 years on, still hasn't solved the Butterfly keyboard debacle adequately. Their "solution" (put a condom on it) doesn't seem to have eradicated the problem. 4 years!
Anyway, let's see if Samsung can nip this in the bud.

Well there's a surprise. If this never gets off the ground with Apple, I wouldn't care. At least if it does we know it'll work and have been through rigorous RD for how ever long that might take - if at all.

Uh, as people love to point out, Apple doesn’t make screens. They buy them from Samsung.

The real slap-to-the-face? iPhones with a Samsung screen always outperform Samsung phones with the same screen. The reason is Apple actually calibrates their screen and iOS actually has proper color management (unlike Androids half-finished version).

So no, they’re not “much better” at all.

Samsung is now toast and we'll now see what Huawei's folding phone can or can not do...

Just another Asian manufacturer trying to play catch up with Apple. When Apple put out folding phones it will work as intended and will be well though out.

Why do I feel vicarious pleasure that this issue is with a Samsung phone? Lol

Does this mean I’m officially a fanboy?

But seriously, this is actually sad bc come on...who here wouldn’t want to see apple come up with an iPhone X Fold.

Even if you don’t want to buy it, it would be nice to see!!!

It's commendable that Samsung would rush a product to market first only to have it explode in their faces once again.
