Honestly this is a shame. Foldable phones are downright cool, and this will probably delay other manufacturers from making them. Samsung is one of only a few companies that can actually try to create a new product because of all their money.
You can't block physics. These displays need much more testing and refinement. Samsung released a $2000 product to consumers that breaks in a day or two...

The bitterness of poor quality remains long after the sweetness of a low price.
Accept the price is $2000. I don't know anyone who considers that low price.
[doublepost=1555546520][/doublepost]And I thought Apple was the one with "courage".

It's a beta product. What do you expect?

Probably Samsung will inspect those devices and come with a solution.

Don't know why so many people from here complain! It's not like you spent 2000$ on the phone and didn't know it's a beta product, or Samsung come with the "F you response"! I'm an Apple user but I admire Samsung courage and the fact that they are trying something new!

In the meantime Apple prepare to release a NEW phone with the SAME design with a LITTLE specs bump :)
This is just stupid. No one pays $2000 for a product to be bricked in a matter of a couple of days. That's not innovation. That's a product that's not ready yet. I'm sure everyone is trying everything behind the scenes and most others probably knew of this and decided it was too fragile for real world use but that doesn't mean they should be labeled innovative for simply releasing expensive beta hardware that's clearly not ready yet when reviewers can't even get it to work for more than a day or two....yikes!

Samsung: Be the first to market for everything.

Apple: We wait until new innovation is perfect before
A. Insisting 'you don't need it' and removing it.
B. Insisting 'you don't need it' and excluding it purposely for years. Finally including it acting like it's something new. Then making our own version of it needlessly, botching that up.
C. Insisting 'you don't need it' and ignoring it hoping it'll go away.

Just an example of how NOT to have a company hurry up and get a product out the door before Apple...
Like that's hard.

That exact sentiment was suggested about the AirPower.

Releasing a $2,000 product that fails after a couple days is not in the same league as AirPower. Innovation also needs to ultimately work for some period of time otherwise anybody can release a unique product and call it “innovative”. Like the poster above mentioned Apple was smart or should I say “innovative” enough in killing AirPower to avoid this kind of embarrassment Samsung will/is feeling over this fiasco.

Here's one for you:

There are lots of other feature both user and security in every iOS update including many that don't get the attention of emojis.

Also kindly indicate which security awards Samsung software has won and what type of software, i do find it a bit difficult to believe any Android software got any security awards.

Yup, while I am still sceptical of the concept I am quite certain that some more work was and is needed to make this a possible mainstream product.

Samsung KNOX offers military-grade security.

Apple iCloud offers the fappening.

Which one of us, watching those videos, did not say, "I wonder how long that will fold without cracking?" Well, the answer is, not too long. I don't know why Samsung forced this out the door. I mean, that's a lot of failures going to the press. Bad failures How come they didn't know that? It looks almost as bad as the exploding batteries-- not because it will kill somebody, but it didn't list past about three days online when the trouble showed itself. A large number of reviewers saw it. Did they not test it for at least a couple of weeks?

Apple never got AirPower working. It wasn't that some would break easily or the yields were too low. None of them worked even for 1 day.

The (certain segments of the )military has dis-adopted use of android. And Knox according to Wikipedia has been discontinued.

The latest release was 31 days ago.

One particular component was discontinued, in favour of an even stronger version.

How many governments use iCloud?

What sort of bugs and crashes are you having. I don't have a Xs Max, so I'm interested in what privilege you're having. My Xr has been flawless but I am considering the Xs and Max (and would pass this Xr on to my teenager).
Curious. Why are you contemplating getting an XS/XS Max? I had the Xs Max and switched to the Xr because of the battery life. The battery lasts way longer for me on the Xr than it did with the Max, but I kind of miss the premium feel of the Xs. Ive also been dealing with slight bugs on the Xr.

Except the military isn’t using it.

The fappening was Gmail and icloud.

Get your facts straight.

Still doesn’t change the fact the the Samsung fold can’t fold.
