I can't find the ipod control either. Does anyone have the control or is it just an installation bug?

Ok I have the USA version, so if I am planing a trip from NYC to Vegas do I need to download all the states in between? How is that going to work? Is the app going to download them on the fly?
yes you need to download all the states you will travel through.
If you download just a particular set of states I wonder if it'll find you the best route possible through just those states. Like if you get NY, PA, WV, VA, NC, SC, GA, FL, LO, TX, NM, AZ, NV, I wonder if it would plan your NYC->Vegas trip through Florida.
Great, now I need a map to use my gps.
You always need a map unless you can navigate with just latitude, longitude and altitude.Great, now I need a map to use my gps.

Can someone confirm if the iPod control is still there? I don't see it.
This is the issue for most GPS systems used by phones. The compromise is to drive enough outside without dedicating to a route to get a signal.I just bought & downloaded Navigon North America ($40) + Traffic ($20). I did not get Panorama or LiveMaps. Downloading all the maps went fairly fast on my Wifi, took maybe 15 minutes, and now my phone says that Navigon is taking up about 1.7gb of space.
A question for existing Navigon users: My phone does not get strong GPS signal in my parking garage, so when I enter a new destination at the start of my trip, Navigon tells me something along the lines of "you don't have strong GPS signal. Navigation will start when you get better GPS signal." The problem is that this means that I have to drive out of my garage first, and then Navigon will bring up 3 routes for me to pick from, but then I'm already driving and in traffic and paying attention to the road & other cars rather than having the time to pick from the 3 routes it's proposing. How do you guys typically get around this behavior? Is there any way to force Navigon to use your home (or last known location) as your location when the GPS signal isn't strong? Waze doesn't have this problem for me.![]()
Not there anymore. I emailed Navigon and this is the reply -

Another question - ...
How did iPod control used to work? I always switch between GPS and music (e.g., Spotify & Pandora) by double clicking the iPhone button, then swiping right to get to the music and volume controls on the left.
There used to be an iPod icon on the Navigon interface which would directly access some iPod controls without the need for switching to another app.
I'd like to see it come back, if anyone from Navigon is reading.
The latest reply from Navigon suggests that the double click > swipe is a feature of the navigon app. Tapping the corner to reveal the controls was much easier and a feature that they made a big deal of at a previous upgrade. I'd like to see it return also. When you double click on the home button and swipe right to get to the menus on the left, you're able to access music controls (for whichever app is currently playing music) without actually switching apps. The app you're using stays on the screen, and it's just a small music control that shows up along the bottom. Swiping right once gets you to the music controls, doing it again gets you to the volume controls.
traffic live ... that is a monthly charge of 19.99 correct? not a one time charge
one time lifetime charge
Nope.So there's no way to default your location to your last-known-location or your home-location if GPS signal is weak?
