To me this looks much better than the previous renderings.
But what's the point of the display extending beyond the flat front area? The curved part wouldn't be usable anyway. All the curved edges do is add unusable space to the already huge dimensions of the device.

I'm still not a fan of the power button on the side of the device.

I wonder if this is true will Apple notice how easy it is to press the power button when your using the phone like I've done so many times on android phones and even when I had the Galaxy Note 3.

I think I actually prefer this mock up over the black ones from last week. This seems to have more of the premium look than the others. Maybe its the color, but the black mock ups made them look cheaper/non apple/plasticy.

I think the top and bottom portions of the wrap around alum though stretches a little too high up.
I think the more curved rounded feel would be a plus. I enjoy the rich feel of the IP4/5 lines, but I think I would prefer the curved aspects of some of these mock ups better.

The one posted above from Zach Nathan I think would be the most ideal for a production version though. Still looks to have that nice chamfered edge to keep it looking rich and give appeal, but still rounded for comfort

the New M8 is a very fine example IMHO. Feels very good in the hand from my limited playing with it and still has that rich feel with the aluminum on the back. I gotta say, if I would jump ship, it would probably be for the M8

A thing of beauty ! But alas, I need smaller phone size and the 5S is perfect. I hope they come out with a version of 5S that has identical design features of the iPhone 6.!!

I just love it when I accidentally touch the screen based on my grip of the iPhone 5. That phone looks far worse

I don't know why people keep talking about bezel free designs. Bezel free screens like the one in the mock up are ugly as hell.

As long as I could hide that hideous curved glass under a lifeproof I'm good with it. In the end I buy iPhones for iOS, the looks of the phone are simply a bonus. I think this is about the most ridiculous and unattractive render I've seen yet, but, I'd probably swallow and buy it because I simply can't go back to the half-baked world of Android.

Sooo... its like a bar of soap? This is great news for the apple care team.
It looks like soap
This seems relevant:

These mockups are getting progressively worse. Heck even if the article that was posted comparing the phone case and the cardboard iPhone 6 cutout is true then this year I'm finally jumping ship. I mean c`mon a phone the size of a 5" Android phone but with less screen real estate to show for it, and huge top and bottom bezels?
I mean seriously this is what the engineering team filled with super smart people are going to try to convince us of... that making the phone longer and longer every year and using some half assed made up resolution (which is still lower than all other manufacturers flagship in the industry) is by any means better than making the phone proportional and going with an industry standard resolution? I'm really close to being done with Apple at this point for mobile devices. I've purchased every single iPhone including the original for $600 before the subsidy so for me to even contemplate not getting the new one is a big deal. It just seems that Apple is doing things different, just for the sake of being different with no regard for actual users and user experience.

Case in point, none of Apples content on iTunes comes in any of these cockamamie resolutions they insist on using with their phones so you either get the super black bar effect on the top and bottom when watching it, or you double tap to zoom and fill the screen but all the while missing everything that's happening on the sides of the movie/TV show you're watching. However Android devices play Apples own content from iTunes just fine full screen... are you kidding me? Meh

With the greatest of respect, are you high?

Apple spend approximately three quarters of a trillion dollars tooling up for each iPhone, and you think the cost of changing a cutter in a CNC machine would be cost prohibitive?

Lol.

This....
And further, has Apple ever, ever shown the slightest tendency to sacrifice form and beauty in the name of saving a few dollars?
