i say this with full knowledge that this makes me a hypocrite, since i too am wasting time on these forums.
Couldn't have said it any better myself

It's just too bad that MR has lost all credibility on this topic by posting whatever speculation that shows up without any facts to back it up.
Or better yet, how about August. Just wait for back to school. Why rush things?
Which year?I predict it is going to be released on one of the following days:
13 April, 20 April, 27 April, 4 May, 11 May, 18 May, 25 May, 1 June, 8 June, 15 June, 22 June or 29 June.
Better yet, lets wait till sometime in 2011, make sure they get thing right.
It would be really nice, especially since Apple still is a computer company after all iPad/iPhone stuff (in despite of the name change some years ago)...
what a coincidence: i was about to buy a macPro today for my wife, as her dell crashed a week ago ... just wanted to check rumors page.....after reading all the posts.. i am now restless... is it worth the wait or should i just go and buy ?!

Ahh i hope it's true! I'm sick of waiting! I need to get a MacBook Pro for school and have been waiting for a month! We'll see though![]()
macpro or macbook pro? .
it depends on which kind of work she needs to do
Call me crazy, but I won't be impressed at all if Apple only decides to update ram, hardrive, and processor. I'm hoping this refresh is bigger than that, but if it actually does occur next week, it (most likely) will not be accompanied by a presentation by Uncle Steve, which leads me to think it will be nothing more than a simple update. It would be nice to have some sort of HDMI capabilities either through an actual port (unlikely) or a minidisplay adapter (with audio); also USB 3 wouldn't hurt either. I have a feeling that even if there is an update Tuesday, we will still be disappointed.
I'll be the first to say it: Firewire. Will it or won't it?

Maybe I got confused by your topic, but what exactly do you think is 'innovative' about USB3 or HDMI? They are standard components that will eventually be adapted by everyone (and have been adapted by many manufacturers already).Call me crazy, but I won't be impressed at all if Apple only decides to update ram, hardrive, and processor. just buy the damn computer, if you wait, you'll be waiting forever (just like the rest of us)
