I do not like when companies become political and so on, but it's certainly their right to do so, and it's our right to buy from them or not. People should stop looking at companies as if buying one of their products will make us/society become one way or another. A Starbucks cup ain't going to make me gay exactly as a Chick-Fil-A ain't going to make me a pious Christian. I just enjoy the coffee, and the chicken sandwich.
How will you ever contribute to society with an attitude like that? The social justice outrage machine doesn’t feed itself, you know.

My Pride Watch Face.

Just because they’re not being stoned in the USA means that the majority of people love and accept gays? Wrong. Remember the PULSE nightclub shooting? Ever turn on the local news and see a gay person/couple get beat up or jumped?

Things are better now for the most part, but it doesn’t mean that everything is all good and it doesn’t mean that us gays can’t wear things to show our pride in being gay.

Why can’t you just let people be happy?
The Pulse shooter was a terrorist, dude.

Be happy. Please don’t shove your lifestyle in my face sand I won’t do the same to you. Deal? Also, and this I think is the major thing for me, the Gay Lobby has gone from “live and let live” to “if you don’t agree with my lifestyle, you’re a hateful bigot.” I’m happy to respect you and leave you alone; there’d be a lot less problems in this area if you (not you in particular) allowed people to respectfully disagree without calling them Homophobic, evil, bigoted, literally Hitler, etc., ad infinitum

It's a rainbow. People have been doing rainbows since before Gays started using it in pride parades.

*giggles* Firstly, this statement is ironic considering your previous post.

People just want to be treated like humans. It's not a war against or for anyone's "culture". You are free to do what's right for you and everyone else should be free to do the same.
Except when people respectfully disagree with things like gay marriage they’re labeled as bigoted monsters. That’s why this whole “free to do what’s right for you” is a total crock. Bake the cake, bigot, no matter your religious beliefs, or we’ll destroy your business. Live and let live? Lol. You guys ditched that idea years ago. Now it’s "accept it or we will shame and destroy you." I know you know this.

And targeted a gay club...

Correct because....radical muslims don't like gays. Which is why they throw them off buildings and stone them.

Like I said in my earlier post---radical islam/muslim.

I don't see Tim Cook combating hate against gays in the middle east, do you?

But hey, he can certainly look righteous with his watch faces and watch bands and take zero risks.

Well as a resident of Tennessee we can still be fired from jobs for being gay, in fact there are three cases that will be heard in front of the Supreme Court about this. Also there are no housing discrimination protections in several states.

Can you provide a link? Not because I don’t trust you, I am genuinely curious to see the details.

different times and circumstances, holding a flag doesn't mean a thing and he hasn't done a damn thing for the LGBT community.

My wording may have been off and made it seem the cases are from TN, but the cases aren't from Tennessee but here is an article. HOWEVER IN Tennessee when working in the public you can get fired.

https://www.nytimes.com/2019/04/22/us/politics/supreme-court-gay-transgender-employees.html

Thanks I truly appreciate it. Of course before having a decent opinion I will need to read the cases at the best of my abilities.

LOL....Are you really using the ACLU, VOC, and The Daily Beast as legit references?

ACLU - No explanation needed.

VOX - Vox is an American news and opinion website owned by Vox Media.

The Daily Beast - The Daily Beast is a left-leaning American news and opinion website

my guess is you didn't read any of those articles because you knew it answered the other persons questions. let me guess, Fox News only?

Sure. Maybe in Muslim countries. I don’t see a lot of gays being stoned to death or thrown off bridges in the USA. In fact, gays are so hated that the CEO of the biggest company in the US is a homosexual, as is one of the leading Democratic presidential candidates. From Indiana, no less!!

I had cereal this morning so nobody in the United States was hungry this morning.......

My interactions are limited, but not absent. Apart from that, you may not have ever attended a pride parade. Would make Lady Gaga blush.

To qualify, not every gay person is like that, just like not every straight person is boring. Also, there’s nothing wrong with that, each to his own. Finally, if you want to highlighting your existence, expect conversation.

I don’t think a pride parade is the place to be judging entire sections of people.
I know gays who hate those events than the most ardent Christian. The flag is a rainbow for a reason.

Well when people are treated equally under the law.... tout'ing is a must! And side note, LGBT Pride has nothing to do with sex...
But many of these people do not want to be treated equally. They seem to want preferential treatment. In my honest opinion, we should treat everyone with the same degree of kindness.

Well, you should! :)
This is indicative of the attitude of the American liberal. Tolerant of anything that is in line with the liberal ideology and socio-political philosophy but heaven forbid you have your own opinions and beliefs. That’s when the real “tolerance” is made clear. The most belligerent and intolerant people I’ve been around have been post-GWB liberals.

Someone else having support doesn't equate to hate against you.

stop trying to make everything about your own victimhood.. especially when nobody is actively persecuting you.
Methinks thou dost protest too much.

GuruZak, Very well said, sir.

I genuinely don’t understand why or how sex has become a thing that so many people feel the need to tout so publicly. What a strange reality we live in.

To be clear, this is just an observation. Not a political comment.

I agree. No judgement either way. Just something that doesn’t make sense to me. I do wonder, though, if Apple has plans to provide built-in watch faces for other groups. If not, why not?

That’s not true. Persecution comes in many forms. Living in NY, I see more and more hostility toward religions and religious people. Heck, even Chris Pratt said it was hard talking openly about his beliefs.

I think we can all stand to be more tolerant and understanding.

Apple could have just called them rainbow watch faces and the controversy would possibly be minimized. Rainbow faces could have easily had dual meanings.

Hahaha, Christians—who make up the overwhelming majority of American adults at about 75% of the population—being afraid to discuss who they are is just precious, especially given that the religious right has gladly used that status to persecute the LGBTQ community and others throughout much of this country's history.

Spare me.
