I really don’t need one but I would love an iPad mini that looked like a mini Air, especially if they do all of the colours. I would just use it for books.

Why a new smaller apple pencil? I just want an ipad mini with the flat edge design that is compatible with the 2nd gen Apple pencil. I just want to be able to charge the Apple pencil 2 i use with my larger ipad pro the same way... by attaching it to the side. The ipad mini is long enough to accommodate the current Apple pencil 2. We don’t need a smaller apple pencil. Save that for the next iPhone perhaps. I just want to be able to use the same apple pencil on both my ipad pro & future ipad mini. As an artist who travels a lot, i’d like to be able to take an ipad mini with me that can use the same pencil. I know i can get the current mini with the old apple pencil, but i do not want two pencils...and certainly not one that charges in such an awkward un-apple like way as the first gen. Make this happen Apple and I’ll be a happy man. ;)

I hope the rumour of the smaller pencil is false, we don't need more version of the same tool.
I hope it is waterproof so I can read magazines in the bathtub, like the adverts lead me to believe with the Kindle paperwhite.

Why must they constantly make better things and tempt me? I would be happy with a chalkboard or a stick to write on the sand if they would stop with the constantly making things better.
Remember the good ol’ days when we didn’t know about pesky things like atoms, electricity and germs. Everyone was so much happier.
Better, bahumbug.

Could launch between now and the end of 2022! Who really knows....like the SE Plus, it just might not happen.

I'd actually be surprised if the Mini gets the square design when they could just slap a newer processor in the Mini 5 again and still sell to the markets that mainly purchase this device, just like the SE2.

Larger screen and TouchID along with the redesign will make the iPad mini a wonderful upgrade over the current mini.

Looks really nice, basically a mini IPad Air 4. Hopefully it gets the A15 chip if released in Sept or after, makes sense, but the A14 is still the most powerful smartphone chip bar none. Power button Touch ID is fantastic though despite what people say, works flawlessly on my Air 4. I really like Apples mid range iPads like the Mini and Air lines, the perfect balance between value, features and performance in my opinion that appeal to the masses.

Back to the Prosser well I see. Since he had SUCH a great week right?

Day 1 purchase if true. Love the mini.
Well the mini will need to eventually modernize its appearance, won’t it?

seems like a safe prediction regardless of how much actual leaked information is backing it up.

I have the 12.9 too and have tried to figure out how I would use the new mini. I had the original and used it for audiobooks falling asleep and when on a boat or somewhere I would not want to risk the iPad Pro. Maybe gps as I don’t have cellular on the 12.9. Glad the colors are back to black, space grey and silver.

And here I am literally having hit 'buy' on an M1 iPad Pro.

I love the screen real estate on my G2 12.9 but I also like running ProCreate side-by-side so might be cool to have a little sketchbook sized iPad.
