Product Line-up is now a huge mess.

In fact, it's like how Apple was before Steve Job's return
Please articulate what you mean by a complete mess. I am not seeing anything close to a complete mess. Always areas that need improvement, missed opportunities, and products under development that never come to fruition. Add changing technology that disrupts how we interact and use it, some will see a mess.

this would be like if the iPhone 4 released one baseline model, one with a physical keyboard, and a "premium" model with a physical keyboard AND you get the FaceTime camera

Doens’t seem that much of a mess.

4.7” LCD
5.5” LCD
5.5” OLED

The thing I find disapointing is the physical size of the device seemingly dictates the feature set, with the larger devices getting the better, more advanced features (dual lens camera, OLED).

Many people want high end features, but are not interested in a larger physical form factor.

NO! It doesn't make sense offering both LCD and OLED. It's like saying one is far better than the other but we'll still sell the poor quality one. Hope they make a 4" in the new design. To me, large phones are vulgar.

No, it's not. If this rumour comes true it is a mess, but even then it's not like the number of niche Macs that existed before Steve returned.

Do you think the executive team which was around for iMac, iPod, iPhone, iPad would really forget this most basic lesson?

We know an OLED pixel uses no power when it is totally black - off. But do they use less power for dark gray as opposed to bright white? Or is it all or nothing..

I don't see the benefit of using two different display technologies. Are OLED displays really that much more expensive than LCD?

It isn't just about price. It's also about supply. You have to remember Apple sells upwards of 200 million iPhones per year. On top of that, you have every other major Android maker using OLED displays in their 5.5" phones. I'm willing to bet by this time next year there won't be enough to go around for Apple to use OLED across its entire lineup. Both Samsung & LG are spending billions to ramp up OLED production but it won't happen overnight.

Given all of the damage control Phil Schiller is doing with the MacBook Pros, I have zero confidence that these new iPhones will contain anything revolutionary over this year's models. Apple doesn't innovate anymore, Apple iterates. Tim Cook has no product vision, he is a spreadsheet-monger.

Apple's days are numbered.

Who honestly believes that Apple would release two phones with the same size and different display technologies? What a load of bs.

I think they should. Those of us who want a special iPhone that stands out from the crowd will pay a premium for it. So many iPhone users now means we're less special. This is a chance for us to be special again.

Ming-Chi Kuo is more accurate than anyone else on earth who makes predictions about Apple products.

That's why I'm disappointed to see that no 4-inch iPhone is mentioned in this prediction. This is disappointing considering that Kuo also predicted that the iPhone SE would not be updated next year.
I think they are dealing with this by eliminating the bezel. based on other rumors.

Given that phone sales are through the roof, and Apple reliably captures upgraders from its own growing customer base, I sure hope they make these more manufacturable! Get started early too.

love it when people can't distinguish facts from fiction. ooh i read it on the internet from an analyst! it must be true!
Oh just shut the hell up! Can't you see that what that guy Wu Tang said perfectly supports the narrative I'm pushing? If he said it, and it makes my point more relevant (in my mind), then ipso facto, post ad hoc infinitum, e pluribus unum, rock crushes scissors, it's 100% fact. There is no denying this. If it turns out not to be true, it can only be a Bilderberg conspiracy... and I'm most likely dead. Avenge me.:p:D

edit: This is a joke. I am not seriously yelling @mdelvecchio Someone actually thought this was serious.
