^You guys are definitely better than your record indicates.

I wish we were, but we made some very poor decisions over the off-season that ruined our special teams unit. We were testing out returners all pre-season and the best we had was Mark Jones - and he was cut. The Jets game was unfortunate, but in previous games this season we've had some major problems with field position.

The chorus for the return of Vince Young is getting louder too...not that that is a bad thing.

Props to the Jets though. They were able to capitalize on the Titans' mistakes.

3rd time's the charm, Chad. I think it's time for him to move into coaching. I've always liked him but never felt confident with him. Parcells would give him a QB coach job in a NY minute.
And considering the Dolphins will more than likely be the front runner in the Tim Tebow chase,it would be a good move.Pennington always seemed like the underdog (touch passer without the rocket arm from a small school), so it's a shame to see him out for the season.Plus he's not a douche-bag.

Watched what I could.... Being a Cowboy fan I am glad they pulled this one out. Romo looks a little shaky, not his usualy self that we have seen in the past. But that is ok, our run defense looked pretty darn good tonight too!

The Cowboys D definitely stepped up to make this win happen. They kept the running game and Steve Smith in check pretty much the entire game. But, I still don't understand some of the Cowboys play calling. Twice from the 1-yard line they pass and one of them was to Bennett. Seriously! They should have been pounding the ball in the end zone behind that huge offensive line and putting the game away earlier. I don't understand why Whitten was pretty much non-existent the entire second half. It's like they forgot he was on the team. He had some great blocks to help make plays, but when he's on fire like that you've got to keep him in the gameplan, especially around the goal line.

As far as the Titans go we've just got to play better all around, but especially on defense. We're getting killed in the passing game by opposing teams. I know they are really focusing on stopping the run to prove that losing Haynesworth didn't hurt the team, but we've got to step up and limit the pass at the same time. I don't think Collins vs. Young is even on the radar is it? Collins continues to manage the game pretty well. We've just got to show that we can stop opposing teams and play some offense at the same time instead of just doing one or the other. Indy will probably run away with the division so here's to hoping for a wildcard.

Sadly, I too think Pennington's playing career is over - even if he were to come back from surgery I doubt very much any team would risk signing him with his fragile shoulder not to mention the effect that this would have on his already questionable arm strength.

Parcells would do very well to have him as the quarterbacks coach in Miami. Pennington seems to be a super bright guy with good experience, I can definitely see him making inroads into a coaching career if he so chooses.

Damn rookie QBs. Sanchez really played like a rookie today. 14 points off his turnovers. Jet D was huge, held NO to a FG until late in the game.

Next up…

I thought the Packers vs. Vikings game last night was a really fun game to watch. I still can't believe how many times Aaron Rodgers was sacked... he must be feeling good this morning.

Didn't see the game but heard about that. 8 times of staring at the sky, huh? Someone remind Rodgers he's not being paid to do that while on the job. :D

A post-game analysis attributed 3-4 of the sacks to Rodgers getting shaky when in the pocket, but blamed the rest on poor pass protection. Someone had an interesting point: for 6 of the 8 sacks, Vikings rushed only 4 men against Packers' 5 -- so why couldn't the Pack protect their QB?

The Vikes vs. Packers game was awesome. To answer the question above, the Packers line couldn't protect Rodgers because the Vikings front four and blitz packages are crazy good. Jared Allen had multiple sacks and pretty much lived in the Packers backfield all night long. And how about Brett Favre. What an awesome performance. He proved that he still can play the game and that the Vikes don't have to solely rely on AP to win it for them. I hope the next game in Lambeau is even better.

As far as Romo and Big D goes, well, Denver played a great game and the Cowboys struggled again. I still think the play calling a jacked up. Choice proved last week that he can carry the rock, but they hardly ran at all the second half. And again, Witten was not used at the goal line effectively. Is Romo playing great football, no, but the blame does not rest solely with him. They are going to have to pull it together or it's going to get even worse as the Giants and Eagles look strong.

The funeral procession for my Titans is starting to line up. Young is not the answer, playing better defense is. However, I readily admit that after a few more losses they might as well put Vince in and let him get more game time experience in preparation for the future.

As far as fantasy goes, another 3-1 week for my teams. Three games were on the line last night and I pulled it out in two of them. :D

Collins isn't an answer. Young is a question mark. Granted, the offense hasn't been as bad as the defense and special teams, but then that's not much of a comparison since we are losing in all three. I don't see the defense getting that much better, especially now with the injuries in the backfield so winning is going to have to be on the offense. They need to stay on the field, hold onto the ball, and make plays. They aren't doing any of these things.

We also need a new defensive coordinator.

Well, Denver deserved to win yesterday.
They made adjustments during the half and out-played the Pats completely in the 2nd half.

Even when they tried to GIVE the Pats a score with 2 4th down penalties, the Pats still couldn't capitalize. It was a very disappointing game (being a Pats fan), but kudos to the Bronco and their Tollhouse Cookie unis for getting the job done and getting it done well.

Denver is definitely proving the naysayers wrong. Does anyone know what happened to Jacksonville and the "team rule" that Sims-Walker broke. I can't believe he was pulled out on game day without us hearing anything earlier in the week. Seriously, they looked bad and Seattle looked stout in that game. MJD just disappeared and Garrard played terrible.

How about Miles Austin in Dallas. WOW! The Cowboys played a terrible game, but Austin showed that he might deserve consideration as a starter.

Looking forward to the Jets vs. Miami game tonight. The wildcat vs. the Green Defense. We'll see what happens.

Very impressed with the new coaching staff and their 2nd half adjustments. This is what drove me up the wall when shanahan was around. The broncos have given up only 7 points in the second half this entire season. Those 7 points were in the first game against the bengals. Very impressive and shows that the coaching staff is doing its job. Love seeing McDaniel's enthusiasm.

Yeah, he was clearly popular with the Pats coaching staff and players as he got more greetings and well wishings post-game that I've ever seen.
