Go Broncos! 6-0! Unbelievable!!!!!!

This surprises me, but good for the Broncos. If they keep up play on this level, or close to it, through 16 games, I think they have a legitimate shot at another ring.
The Vikings are surprising, too.
The Saints.
Who thought?
Now that baseball is over (great season), I will catch up on football.
For starters, poor
San Francisco 49ers, I thought they would be better at this point, but there's still a lot of season left and they are only one game out of 1st place. It's the NFC West that I watch every year and 3-4 for the Niners is not great, but when the Cardinals top the division at 4-3, there's a chance for San Francisco to step it up and win that division. The Seahawks are not doing well at 2-5 and the Rams will probably not make the playoffs for sure, being only 1-7 at this point. Too much can happen in the second half of a season, and even in the last four games. What we have are mid-season, or nearly mid-season snapshots of who is doing well and who isn't. This picture will radically change as people, key people, do get hurt and fall apart in football.
But as far as the Vikings, my only concern is that Favre, as strong as he has been in his 20s and 30s, is facing age and while his mind is there, his body can't possibly take the hits it used to. Plus it's cumulative. He's done a great job in changing his game for his changing body. If he stays healthy, it would be a real "sticktoitiveness" story if Favre wins another Super Bowl. Old guys like me would feel real hope.
I can't remember a Super Bowl, AFL Championship, or NFL Championship where a man in his 40s won in a key starting position. There may have been a "first string" kicker in his 40s*** on a championship team, but I will have to look that one up. Brett plays like a man ten years younger, even though he doesn't look a day over 50!
*** Punter Jeff Feagles is the oldest football player to play in a championship game at 41 years old, for the New York Giants. Way to go. Favre is 40 and I have a strong suspicion he will have at least a good shot at winning the NFC Championship Game if all parts hold up. If Brett goes further and wins the Super Bowl for the long suffering Vikings, it will be all the more sweeter.
He holds every important/relevant record a QB can hold, except for being the oldest QB to stay on the roster, ala Steve DeBerg, aka Steve De "backup" who was rostered at 44. God willing, Favre will surpass both those middle aged milestones of Feagles and DeBerg.
