Must be problems with the animatronic Steve stunt-bot. It just doesn't have the RDF strength of now-retired clone #3.
The local Apple Store near me has typically used the satelite linkup (instead of the webcast). The show there has typically been top-notch picture quality on a wall-size screen.SiliconAddict said:*shrugs* Since Ive started to actually watch Apples events Ive found the size of the feed annoyingly small. What? 300 x 100 or something? Its not that big of a deal for me. Ive love to watch it but give me a windows that would at least fill up the screen on my PDA.
I would hope a company like Apple could at least afford an intern to do this?AmnesiacOpera said:... And for titles all you really need to do if hire any bum off the street...

This was back when apple had only supeanaed(sp?) the rumor sites to find the source of the leak. I would think people are taking the idea much more seriously now that Apple has directly named ThinkSecret in a lawsuit.

There are probably people reading and posting to this thread that have shelled out substaintial sums of money to Apple in the past year, this includes me, and feel as if they deserve to be able to see it. Some people are college students that may not have classes during the keynote but have classes during the rest of the time it would take them to travel to the conf. and back. I think it is fair to voice an opinion that states something to the effect of being disappointed that Apple is not streaming it live and I don't think that I see it as "acting like a bunch of kids" but you are entitled to you opinion and I apologize if any of my comments have made you percieve it that way.

I spose Apple just thinks live webcasts mean less value for money for the people who actually pay and turn up. After all if you can watch the keynote for free on the net why bother getting a ticket?
I'm disappointed, I'll admit, but come on it's a few hours, it's hardly the end of the world.
Xapplimatic said:Steve Jobs is a show man. He loves to show off Apple's latest and greatest.. The problem with no live coverage is this.. Steve is worried the show will bomb because everyone in the audience will realize about before or by the end of the keynote that everything he brought to Steve their socks off was already known to them thanks to Think Secret... And he doesn't want disinterested long faces showing up on live coverage of his event.. If he can't blow them out of the water with something new and wonderous, then he'd rather not have the coverage appear until after Apple technicians can edit out crowd disappointment shots at the end of the show..
