My Replacement iMac Finally shipped out of China today. It actually for once did not miss FedEx's Cut Off Time!

No Delivery Date yet, but I'm guessing it's going to take the same route as my original iMac did, and I should have it Monday.

All in All, not a bad experience with the RMA issue, Once I spoke to someone who knew what there were doing. But I do wish they could of shipped out the Replacement faster. They said "well they need to build it, it's a custom order" i said "they need to build a wireless keyboard/mouse!?"...

Oh well, I just hope the screen is in one piece and that it works normally. I'll post back on Monday Night when I get it. Damn Semester starts on Monday, it's going to be a longgg Day!

Hooray, finally some good news :D I hope you enjoy your iMac, I sure will...if the thing ever ships out that is :p

*checks Apple Order Status Page*...damn!

We have one ordered

Count me in.

We ordered a 20 inch with 1gb and the video card upgrade on the 16th. We have an estimated ship date of the 24th and delivery on the 31st.

I finally made the decision to upgrade from my TiBook 1GHz (any one want to buy a TiBook? :p ) to an InteliMac. I guess I don't need it since all I do is surf the web and write papers, but I have the money and it's driving me nuts knowing that I can afford one. ;)

I guess I should probably head to my Apple Store to get it since the shipping dates are pushed back so far and I'm only 30 minutes away from the Durham store.

I live within driving distance of 5 Apple Stores.

How lucky are you. In Colorado, there are only two stores. Both in the Denver metro area. The second largest city in Denver, Colorado Springs, has exactly 0 Apple stores.

And Colorado's a mighty big state (area-wise).

I am currently in NZ, but I got confirmation that my iMac has indeed reached my home in Australia as of Friday. It will be so sweet when I get home! :)

That's great. $99 is as good as I've seen so far for a name brand 1GB chip.

Does anybody use SimCity 4? If so, could you install it and tell me how the performance is on the Intel iMac running in Rosetta?
As soon as my 20" iMac (512mb RAM, 256mb ATI upgrade) arrives (that's if it ever ships...) I'll tell you how it runs. I have Sim City 4, not the "Rush Hour" one with the expansion but just the original, I'll tell you how it runs as soon as I can get to install it on my iMac :)

That same exact RAM was actually 67.99 a few days ago. Seems like the RAM prices for these new iMacs are going up on every site.

count me in...

I ordered my 20" intel, 256 video, 1x1gb ram, and wireless keyboard/mouse late friday as soon as my paycheck came through. I think it was around 5 in the evening on the 20th.

However, mine shipped this morning at 6am the (22nd) and i should get it by the 25th. Much better than the estimated delivery date of Feb 1st...

Hooray! I'm not going to get much work done this week!

Now I don't know what's going on but, that's definitely not first come first serve or in the order they were ordered etc, I ordered the same thing (minus the 1gb RAM) on the 16th and mine has still not shipped. I hope I don't get pushed back, or Apple will get an unhappy phone call. I'm happy all of you are getting your machines fast though. They must be so cool to play with, I can't wait for mine! :D

Yeah it's bizzare. They can not be running a first come first serve basis at all. I placed my order on the 15th 20" with 256 + 2GB CTO and my estimated shipment date is the 25th? I keep checking in the vain hope that it will ship soon so I can have it toward the end of next week, but it looks like I'm out of luck.. :)

mind you Apple shipment policy is very strange. We don't get to choose express shipping options like you do in the states.

When my first 15" powerbook shipped from Shanghai via TNT it took 12 days to arrive. When my replacement 15" PB (long story) shipped again from Shanghai via TNT it took only 5 days? Also I've had a couple of deliveries between those two from Apple and they came by UPS.

So who they use is a mystery to me?

Is anybody getting an iMac being shipped from Middleton,Pa. ?

No, But My Replacement iMac being shipped out of China, had a Scan on January 23rd in the Phillipines Subic Bay. I've never seen that scan before, it usually just goes right from Shanghai, to Alaska, then to me.

Estimated Del. is Thursday. I'm not happy right now.
