Just a quick update on the iMac: Everything is running really smooth. Although I do notice the 512 MB RAM limit (program switching when alot of programs are open cause some delay), I really don't feel the need for upgrading just yet (especially since I just don't have the money right now)

.
Safari works just swell, and I love the speed. Flash works great as well. I even tried some more complex sites, like
www.netdisaster.com/, and had no problems whatsoever.
I also did alot of working on my Linux server, which I log onto graphically via X11. And even though my network speed hasn't changed (or the speed of the server obviously), it does seem to respond even quicker. I'm betting that this is due to the public key encryption on the network, that caused alot of overhead on my old G3 iBook. Anyway, it's fantastic to work on a 20" KDE desktop!
Of course, the biggest hit sofar has been FrontRow and PhotoBooth. My wife has laughed tears when taking odd pictures of her and her friends. I have to admit, although simple, PhotoBooth is alot of fun! We've also had some fun with ComicLife, which is very intuitive to use and creates comics in no time.
All in all, I am very pleased with my new iMac. Now I only wish my University wouldn't cap our internet to 650MB down/upstream a month so I could do some more video chat

. Damn them! What era do they think we live in, the stone-age???
Cheers everyone! Have fun with those iMacs. And to all those still waiting, I hope for you that those days don't crawl all too slowly.
