Crap! Got home for lunch to find the dreaded delivery ticket on my door. I called Fed Ex to see if they could contact the driver to come back by while I was home and she said she'd try. I may not get it until tomorrow.

Well that sucks.. However, luckily around here I live like 10 minutes from the hub.. man I wish it would update from the "Subic Bay" status.. I probably won't see a status upgrade for a WHILE.. since.. what it's flying 17 hours back in time from my time zone..

An update...

Mine had an estimated "shipped by February 17th" date.

I cancelled my Mini DVI to DVI adapter which was in backorder and now mine says "shipped by January 25th"!?

That's 6 days ago, I don't get it.

Think they will ship it soon?

It arrived today.

Installed everything and guess what... All works perfectly

Canon iP3000 printer connected via Aiport Express Base Station..
Canon Lide 35 Scanner
Wacom Intuos 3 Tablet....

All drivers working with it and photoshop and corel painter 9 both seem to work great, albeit tad slower to load up - than my powermac G5....

No dead pixels and I can't believe how quiet it it

Wonderful, and its a vast improvement over the Rev A G5 imac....

well so far i'm pleased with mine, but i have 2 problems. one is a dead pixel. i guess there's nothing i can do about that.

the second, is that i haven't been able to burn a cd with itunes successfully. i've tried at least 8-10 times. it could just be the cd's, but i'm not sure. i've burned at least 20-25 of the same cd's. and they worked.

but it burns dvd's fine

Are you looking at Apple's Status or FedEx (your shippers) site..

Caues mine says Shipped on apple (Jan 25) and on FedEx, it's slowly crawling to the US

My 20 inch Intel Imac (left) and my 23 inch Apple Cinema Display (right). My new Imac definitely boots faster than my old G4, its as quite as a mouse. So I'm wondering if I should sell my Cinema display to pay for this new Imac?

Its connected to my noisy G4 desktop for now, but I've ordered the Mini DVI to DVI connector from Apple so I can connect it to my new Imac. I'm wondering, are two monitors "overkill"?

ALSO, Jack I donno why you're having a problem with the image loading. It seems to be loading for others. Hmm . . . BTW Jack, you sure look pretty in that cowgirl hat!

Depends on what ya do tho.. Cause I do Video Editing, 3D work and Web Design.. and having two monitors was always nice, course that was on PC .. that didn't have virtual desktops or anything like that..

Yeah, I've noticed no MR attatched images are loading for me today. Wierd.

Ordered mine on Friday, January 27th and it shipped that day from Powermax. UPS says its scheduled for delivery on Friday, February 3rd.....can't beat that.

So far my only complaint is 1 dead pixel (which is barely noticable). Other than that it is the most gorgeous computer I have ever seen! Impressions and pictures later.

Edit: Wasn't a dead pixel...just a piece of fuzz. Gotta say so far I'm extremely impressed. Now to do the testing and post pictures. After seeing it I told the wife she could have the PC and I'll keep the Mac. She turned me down. I think she's in love with it too.

It says estimated "Shipped by January 25th" but "Not yet shipped".

Glad to read scanners/printers are working fine for most since I'd hate to worry about that as I just got my scanner/printer not that long ago

Ok.... after finally turning on my 20" this weekend... I noticed a problem.... It won't burn nor recognize a blank Ritek DVD-R DL... I needed to burn on it, but it kept on spitting it out within 20 seconds after being inserted....

Anyone been able to successfully burn on a DVD-R DL yet?

I was able to do it on my old powermac cause I still had it connected, but I wasn't able to do it on the 20" iMac... I was able to burn/read regular DVD-R's, but not DVD-R DL..

My iMac came with a Matsu(something) drive... Anyone else get something different in your machine?
