ETA of august 30-sept 15. ouch.
what you guys think, any chances it'll be shipped earlier than that?

So is the consensus that you can't get this code from someone else that has a kindle because it needs to be the billing and email address on the account of the owners Kindle?
It definitely doesn't matter when you check out. I guess the only question is whether they would somehow remove the discount before the computer actually ships.
But it also says u should have Kindle registered to the account your buying from.
Most of the Air's are out of stock, so they can just cancel orders?

A friend used a 25% off HDTV code on his account using a coupon generated by mine. It doesn't matter what account you use it under. The only thing that matters is that the code is a single use code that has to be GENERATED using a Kindle special offer. From that point it doesn't matter WHO uses it, just that it can only be used once.
You guys are making this way more complicated than it needs to be.
the model with "special offers." it's an ad-supported version that sells for $114 for the wifi model ($139 for the 3g). this is good on "select" laptops, which includes all models of the macbook air and pro.

For Target it is 90 days, with no restocking fee if opened. I ended up picking one up last night and called customer service before opening it just in case.
The only problem is, now my wife wants to use the code to get a new MacBook Air to replace her 2 year old MacBook.
So you have a very well-equipped MBP (quad core 15") and you just bought a 13" Air to replace it, but you're sad about it? Then why "let it go"? And if you never used ANY of the features that are "missing" on the Air, why are you "missing" them already? (If I read this correctly, you don't even HAVE the Air yet).damn in a pickle. just bought a 20% off macbook air 13"
what do i do with my 2.2 macbook pro high res now?
i don't even use 15% of the potential of the pro. i don't edit, make, etc etc. only thing i do is watch netflix and surf the net.
but even though i dont do those heavy things i feel kind of sad letting the pro go. "what if" i use it in the future? im also gonna miss the facetime camera. never used it but i'll still miss the hd camera.
weird i know.

Seems to me you should just keep the MBP. You've got buyer's remorse and you haven't even received it yet (presumably).
Trust me, cancel the Air and keep the Pro. I think you'll be happier in the long run.
Can you afford to have both? If so, why don't you cancel the 13 and get a base 11"? Then you can have your "spec whore" machine (the MBP) and your portable netflix and Internet machine?its hard to explain. the air is more practical for me tbh but the pro is just bad ass. i'll probably never use it to its full advantage but knowing i could if i ever wanted to is reassuring.
its a terrible mentality, i know.
i would be sad to let either go even if the situation was reversed. there are always sacrifices between the machines. i want the air but im also kind of sad that i'll be getting rid of the pro. again, i dont use the pro features but its nice to have them. for example, HD webcam? never used it except twice to take pictures of me and my dog (i know weird) but i find myself disappointed that the air won't have it.
i just don't know. afnjasfnjsaf. the air is the right decision for me but im a spec whore so thats why im stuck. i really need to stop thinking this way and be happy with a laptop![]()
By the way, for all you new Kindle owners there's a master thread of all the special offers that have or will be offered on Slickdeals. It's a useful thread to keep track of any offers you haven't noticed.

I bought my KSO in May (to read, not for the deals) and so far I've saved almost $900 by way of discounts on items I was already planning on purchasing. I'd say it's paid for itself even though it's caused me to buy about $150 in books since then![]()
Yes. And the box has a zip cardboard pull on it that can't be resealed once you open it. To get the code you must go into the View Special Offers sub-menu, click the link to email you the offer and the code is generated and sent to your registered email address.
I'll buy anyone's Kindle for $75 if you don't want to return it to the store and to avoid eBay fees...![]()
The base 11" has been missing from the eligible list for a few days. I'm beginning to wonder if it will come back.

for those of you who bought the Kindle Specials from BB, it's in today's ad for $139 - that's suppose to be a $25 price drop. Get them to price match![]()
