New laptops can be returned for free. Opened can be returned with a restocking fee of 15%.

Hmm. I recently returned a laptop and was not charged any restocking fee. It was opened but I sent it back with all packaging intact just short of 3 days. YMMV.

For anyone that bought the 256gb 13'' MBA, the new price as of today is $1549.99 (from $1594.00).

So, I called amazon and they adjusted everything and I saved an extra $35.20 after the 20% off the new price. That's almost 2 lap dances!

Thanks for this! I will give them a call tomorrow. Although I think you meant $45. ;)

My 2007 15" MBP's motherboard broke this weekend. I happened to buy my fiancee's mom a Kindle for her bday and came along this thread this weekend. Thank goodness I did! I ended up selling my 32gb ipad 3g for 700.00 and decided to go with the 11" macbook air 4 128gb. It took me a whole 2 days of deciding if i should go with an 11 or 13 and I ended up with an 11 at the end of the day. Luckily Amazon still had the 11" in stock. Hopefully I made the right choice in choosing the size.

I went about my size decision by having the
2011 27" imac as my main.
Needed something to replace both my MBP and ipad2, so i decided on the 11" which will replace both.

Hope I made the right decision.

It would still be worth the apple flat rate repair and sale. You could get back another $2-300

I called and they said they would have to cancel and reorder. They couldn't promise I would get the discount again. They ended up just giving me a $30 credit towards my next order

Thank You! I successfully called and had them adjust the price. That pretty much covers the Speck satin case I was looking to get for it.

I called and they gave me the new price without canceling. :)

Well the 256 13" can be bought again. That's an improvement from yesterday which was we'll email you when it's available. Hopefully some mention of the base 13" will come back on their website since their is 0 mention of it anywhere. Even the model number if searched for redirects you to the 256.

Edit: To clarify the 256 is on backorder, but at least you can order it which you couldn't yesterday.

I'm confused... I thought you could cancel and reorder no problem (so long as it's before September 8th?)
