I just ordered my 15" 2.0 MacBook Pro with a code I bought online. It will be here tomorrow morning and only costed around $1350 ($1400 including the cost of the code). I was debating if I should wait for the next revision, but this deal is way too good to pass up!! I couldn't be happier :D

Amazon dropped the price of the 13/4GB/256GB to $1549.99. When I ordered it, the price was $1594. I was able to call them and get the price adjusted, since it's still on backorder. Price after coupon went from $1275.20 to $1239.99.

I called and asked the same thing, and the rep wouldn't adjust the price: he kept saying that he couldn't find the page that showed the new price. I'll try another rep later.

I ended up with two 20% codes and used one to get a 11" 128/4 to replace my 2010 11" Ultimate, which will basically be a wash money wise once I sell the 2010 one. The question is, do I use the other code to get something like $450 off a 17" MBP, or maybe a 13" MBA as well? So tempting...

(P.S. I can't give or sell the 2nd code, it has already been applied to my account).

I took the easy way out -- when I saw first notice of the price drop last night, I sent an email via the Contact Us link rather than a phone call. As of this morning a rep had done a price adjustment and all is good; technically this is an "exception" -- see Post Order Price Match Policy.

Show them the link you have. :D

Got to page 6 then gave up - I take it this deal is US only?
You can't get generate any more codes now. You can only buy them from other people (eBay)

Oh God yes. This has become a HUGE problem for Amazon. The Gouging is extreme, and the problem is, they can change the price but the reviews remain the same.

This is bait and switch in a new form. The sellers realize this and swoop in like sharks, while using the Amazon review system (which is great) to their crooked advantage.

Many, many, things are marked up a 500%. Basically, anything that is out of stock at a normal price, as a search on the site will sling you to the marked up price.

Your move.
We're talking about laptops at a definite, clearly identifiable price that people purchase of own volition. It's not like people buy it and their purchase price changes. And it's not like we're talking about life saving medicine.

Give me a break.

Go to http://www.amazon.com/s/?emi=ATVPDKIKX0DER&node=565108
Find a laptop you want that's available for order.
Go to ebay.com
Search for "Amazon laptop 20%".
Buy a coupon (new coupons ceased to be available from Kindle Special Offers version on Monday night)
Go back to Amazon link above.
Select and order laptop.

I have no idea if this is workable outside the US.

Codes are going for 75.00 now on flea bay. I used one and have an extra not tied to my amazon account.

I had this same problem but didn't give up. Here is what the problem was. She kept looking at the 128 model as that is what comes up. She told me several times that they weren't selling that model any more. I kept telling her that they where. So I had to explain that she needed to click on that model and then click on the option for 256 GB. As soon as she did that, she agreed with me.

She then said that they don't price match, but I said that it was their price and they hadn't shipped. She then agreed to take care of it for me as a one time exception. All in all took about 15 min, and was well worth my time!

I would say call them back and explain which model it is. I don't think it helps that some reseller has the 128 listed at the same price as the 256. It is just confusing... But such a deal!

I used the chat feature on their website and the rep was able to lower it. Grand total: $1239.20. Wow...I'm stoked. I returned my 2011 MBA 13" to BestB uy as it cost me $1611 (plus $100 gift card).

If They dont restock I will order the same one its only 230ish more, and sell my other 20% coupon for 75 to drop it down.

Go to eBay and type in 'amazon laptop code' they go for around $50.

I went back and read all of the posts on here and I didn't read any that stated they were able to "use" a bought EBAY code. Has it been confirmed that a "purchased" code will work?

Yes that's right, in a way I was off topic anyway.
