I feel like the people that ordered the base 13 might actually be waiting the full month to month and a half to get theirs... I don't mind the wait with these savings, though I must admit I check the order status too many times a day hoping for a change.

I've checked about 20 times today. I don't care when it comes, I just want a date. 😱 So I can decide if I need to get my other laptop ready for school.
My 2011 11 inch Macbook Air just shipped and i should get it by the 15th.... i bought it late last night!! sweet!! i love amazon!!
I'm the same as you. I placed my order for the base 13" last Saturday afternoon and have been checking Amazon at least a few times a day to see if it actually shipped.
Ha! I've been black listed from chatting online. My screen just fills up w/ promo stuff when the chat starts then ends after about 10 things of "Check out... blah blah blah". I guess it's what happens when you talk to 15 reps and get pushy on the last 2. Guess no $300 savings for me. Thanks amazon 🙄 Wish I was in a lot of your shoes.
Anyone else thought about how much these guys must be talking amongst themselves about all of us online chatting them and pretty much asking the same thing? They've probably all resorted to drinking, heavily, and it probably looks like a madhouse in their office. Haha.

I AM ABSOLUTELY THRILLED. I got the promo to apply after it was "not good" for Macbook Airs. AND it arrives tomorrow even though I ordered it just this morning!

I talked to support. The thing was I had ALREADY ordered the 11/2/64 and insisted that I would like to switch it to the 4/128 because it would arrive "on time" and that I understand that it isn't eligible anymore, but it was when I had ordered the 2/64 and that I would have ordered the 4/128 if I knew I would have got that one "on time" instead of the 2/64. The guy manually cancelled the first order for the 2/64 and manually gave me $228 credit which only applied to my 4/128 that he put in my shopping cart for me. Simple check out, and got the email saying it shipped this evening, for tomorrow's delivery.
I had no idea about the gold box discount... I'm a little surprised no one mentioned this before?
Mine just shipped, but when I click on 'today's deals' it offers me the upgraded 11" for 900 before the 20% discount.
I'm happy, don't get me wrong, but I go crazy about trying to get the very best price!
If anyone is planning on trying to get customer service to apply the 20% discount retroactively, I'd suggest that you browse a bunch in the air section, and keep revisiting the pages before selecting the 'today's deal' link. Keep in mind, you only have an hour to order after the offer shows up!

Take an additional 5 to 10% off if done correctly. Might possibly work for price matching? Not sure. The model I got the coupon for was a base 11" when i ordered the upgraded 11"

Question guys, I barely have enough to get a mbp after the discount. So if amazon tries to authorize my card for 2000, it will decline. Do I have any way to still get this? I will talk to their customer service and beg for the discount, but it seems most are saying they tell you to place the order, and then they will apply the discount. But will it be able to go through? 🙁
