OMG...Amazon 20% coupon on NEW Macbook Airs

Hi, I had ordered my 13/256 on Aug 7 with next day and I got an email saying it was shipping and it will arrive on the 18th! I've been a Prime member for about a year and I always buy stuff from Amazon. Brought a Kindle just for this offer but after seeing the other offers I think I will keep it.

My thoughts on why Amazon pulled the Apple laptops is that originally it wasn't an error to include them in the offer but the demand was so high that they couldn't keep up with demand and they probably figured it was easier on customer service to remove the offer than keep people waiting months for their computers. The fact that people were selling codes online probably didn't help either. I'm sure their goal was to generate Kindle sales and I think they had achieved it.

Good luck and I'm sure all that got their orders in will start seeing shipping dates!

This was my favorite post of the day!

Until Air-Force said his 8/7 13/256 had shipped, since I ordered my 13/256 on 8/8. :)

Though I imagine a LOT of notebooks may have been ordered in those 24/36 hours...
 
I used another amazon account to speak to a rep and order another macbook air however they didnt do so but I told them that a friend of mine ordered an air with this offer moreover online forums state the same so he forwarded my comments to a rep and said they will contact you

Plus they give a link when you talk to them about the offer which states the conditions of getting the offer..so my advise dont call or speak to amazon about your current orders as they have the right to cancel an order according to the terms and conditions...
 
Ordered at night Aug 7. MBA 13/256GB now shipped. Standard shipping only takes one day to NYC/NJ. I'm receiving it tomorrow
 
trying to order another macbook air from a different amazon account lets see how long does this take me.

Wow it's fast. What time did you order? I ordered on the same day around 10pm but still waiting for the shipment...

Few (maybe only one) online retailers have the base 13" in stock. MacMall, J&R and MacConnection all show it out of stock. Best Buy online does show 2-5 days.

Supplies at that price point are sold out and you didnt even mention the "Amazon.com reserves the right to terminate or modify these promotions at any time. For additional restrictions, please read our terms and conditions." clause.
 
It's Not A MacBook Air...

... but the 13" MBP shipped today and arrives Thursday.

It's been fun hanging out in the MBA forum. Good luck with your ship dates! ;)

I'll believe it when I receive mine. I ordered on 8/1 and have a delivery date of 8/18. Original delivery date was 8/5.
 
My 11" 128GB MacBook Air comes tomorrow, got the code from a fellow MR member, it worked for a couple days but waited on my girlfriend to make sure it was the one she wanted, went to place the order...code no longer worked. Ran around with Amazon for about an hour, and they said to place the order and when it ships they'll process a refund for the amount of the 20% off discount as a "one time exception". Just got off chat with them now and they are processing the refund! Girlfriend gets her shiny new MBA tomorrow, and I don't have to hear her complain about the Netbook she was about to buy!

I was told same thing 20% off when it ships but it was my code from kindle tied to my prime account. Did this happen automatically for you or did you have to call and remind them?
