And I'm still waiting on my 8/6 base 13". I had a pending charge from Amazon for a few days but now it's not there and my order has reverted back to "Not yet shipped" from the "Shipping soon" status it was at for about 3 days. What gives? Am I the only one who hasn't begged, pleaded or scammed an Amazon CSR for free upgraded shipping or extra percentage points off my order?
I just might have to do that to get this thing moving.

Heh, yeah, people moving on to greener pastures. I'm an 8/10 order for the 13" 256, so I'll be here for awhile!
You still have me beat! I have a delivery estimate of 9/26-10/13, but thats just with the free shipping. Tried to ask about upgrading shipping for free, but they didn't go for it. Of course it looks like I'm going to lose out on a $40 rebate for an HP printer I bought at the same time because of the shipping delay, so I might make another attempt at an upgrade.
the base mac book pro was 1135 on amazon and the 20 percent off coupon took off alittle over 200

Especially at the discount. I'd love my 13"/i5/256 even at full retail price plus tax, but with the Kindle savings, it's particularly awesome.
I bought on 8/7, still not shipped. Estimate of 8/31-9/16. I don't think any buy dates past 8/6 have shipped yet.

Yeah, still waiting on my 8/7 order here. Same estimated date still, even though the 31st has passed.
Well, I'm sorry you guys have to wait so long. The good news is your order won't be cancelled like many of the Touchpads from OnSale via amazon.
Not to rub it in, but this thread really helped me out. First, I ordered the 13" and the delivery got pushed back. So, I decided to get another Kindle (I gave the Kindle as a gift) and order the 11". I really wanted to try it out. Since the 11" arrived a couple of weeks before the 13", I was able to test it, and then, compare the two. In the end, I decided to keep the 13" (sd slot is nice, larger palm rest, and longer battery were my reasons- but I really did like the 11"). Both of the models are fantastic. Just today, I shipped my 11". It sold for about $50 more than I paid (3 weeks or so of use). Overall, I broke even because I included a Moshi cover and CaseCrown case. Not bad to have if for awhile and test it. Sadly, tech depreciates rapidly. If I wanted to wait longer, I could have gotten maybe $50 more.
One benefit for most of you that are still waiting is that you're getting the 256gb ssd. If I could do it over, I would have got that ssd. Not that I'm complaining; it's just that is was a sweet deal and the extra space can always be used.
For those waiting, hang in there. You're gonna love your new machines.

actually i think a lot of the 256 orders shipped. I'm still waiting on a 128 13"

Yeah, usually amazon is good about beating their estimate, but you can't complain when its actually still accurate.
Still waiting on my 13' 128 ordered on 8/7. Changed shipping address on 8/30 and the estimate went from 8/30-9/16 to 8/31-10/10. Between this and my MBP being in service for two weeks I am about to loose it. Hopefully the next shipment of MBAs comes in soon.

I doubt the change of address will effect anything. In fact, Im pretty sure that the majority of us waiting will all get our MacBooks at about the same time - when the next 'big shipment' comes in. I bet people who ordered from 8/7 - 8/10+ will all get an email notification at about the same time.
