Yeah I expect the same. 8/5 and 8/6 were probably the most intense ordering days.
That's the same day, 5pm-8pm ordered? (can't remember), I ordered the base 13". My estimate was 8/31-9/16 then 9/20. On 8/29, mine arrived. That's strange that yours hasn't shipped yet. Maybe time zone makes yours the next day?

They probably ship by order time, and they ran out of the 13/128 right before I was next. Now I have to wait for the next batch to come, whenever that is.

I have the same configuration and I'm happy.
Sometimes we get too hung up on specs. I remember a piece of advice given to me from shopping for speakers: "Forget the specs and listen to the speakers. What matters is how you hear them; you will be surprised how the best sounding speakers don't have the best specs in the field." Granted, speakers are not computers but can you really perceive the difference without looking at the specs? Oh boy! I better put on my flame suit...
I have the same: I just quit thinking about it, started using the machine, and soon I was thinking, "this thing is really fast".
If they start shipping soon, you'll be pretty ticked. If you really need it and can't find a temporary solution, then, it's a real tough call.

There is a thread in the MacBook air section. It has to do with model numbers in system profile. I don't care, so I'm not going to check.
I think you can use the coupon until the 9th. He just has to fork over the 75-100 bucks to buy one.
You have until Sept 9 to use the coupon. The tough part is that you have to contact customer service and convince them to apply it to an Apple laptop manually. Wasn't too hard about a month ago, but they seem a little less willing now from what I've heard. Buying a coupon is a gamble at this point.
Woohoo! I was able to convince a nice Amazon rep via online chat to apply my Dad's KSO code to an order just now! Getting an 11" MBA 1.6/4gb/128gb for $911. I already have a 13" MBA 1.7/4gb/128gb that I got with my KSO code a month ago for $998. Now trying to decide once the 11" comes, which do I keep for myself and which do I pass to my wife. Hmmmm.....
I would keep the 13". I don't really understand the point of the 11" though. Way too small for me.
