I went to Yorkdale and got a 16GB white model. It's not the 32GB that I ordered online but I'm not sure I'll need all the capacity as my current 32GB iPhone 4 has been demoted to fulltime iPod duties.

Yorkdale as of 4:30PM has a line of about 10 people and the following

16GB White
16GB Black
32GB Black

hmm.... I called at 3pm and they still had some 64GB Black in stock. Was planning to go out later and get one instead of waiting until Monday, but I guess that won't work out.

Apple CS will be getting a pissed off phone call soon for such a poor pre-order experience.

hmmm.i want a 16gb white...not sure if its worth driving there from dt only for them to be out :S
eaton centre's line is too long, and sherway is sold out

Just called the Eaton Centre and they're sold out of every iPhone 4S model with no word on when the next shipment will arrive. Oh well, I'll just wait another week or two for the pandemonium to die down.

But honestly, I don't understand why these flagship stores don't receive massive quantities before the launch. You'd think they would have learned their lesson by now. I also don't understand why factory unlocked iPhones are only available through the Apple store. It's so inconvenient being limited to the one store that is guaranteed to be overcrowded. Actually, I hate visiting the Apple store on ANY day of the year... reminds me of Pacific Mall.

Is it just me or this seems really stupid to someone else. my shipment went from MOUNT hope to Concord......i live in windsor which is much closer to mount hope than concord.

Also stuck in Concord since 12.damn UPS!!!

On the phone with apple now, being treated pretty poorly.
First lady was fine and nice. Supervisor is saying apple never said it will deliver by the 14th (which the site actually originally did say) and is pretty much saying sucks to be you.
Pretty fed up with apples service when they won't even acknowledge their mistakes:rolleyes:

I pretty much put this whole fiasco on Apple, they basically screwed their international pre-order customers just to ensure that NO ONE got them early, in doing so they ensured that their many if not the lions share of international customers wouldn't get them till well after launch day. They should have left China on Wednesday plain and simple, they could have been shipped with a hold with UPS so they wouldn't be delivered till Friday.

Whether they promised it or not a large number of their customers felt they were lead to believe that they would be getting them on Friday. A corporation's image is based on its ability to meet their customers expectations and in this case Apple has failed to meet its customers expectations and provided a less than stellar experience.

Especially when they use the pre-order numbers as bragging rights, seeing as they had 4 million pre-orders like to see how successful they were delivering the 4 million on launch day.

My iPhone still hasn't left Mt Hope (or so the tracking says). At this point I'd just be happy for it to say I'll be getting it on Monday.

I've been meaning to call but I figure Apple won't do anything or even say sorry, so I don't know if I'll waste my time. Still no update on the tracking for my shipment yet.

It seemed to be giving more detailed scans than the UPS tracker. It the Yahoo small business thing, you can find a link a few pages back.

Call in. They won't recognize their mistakes until well tell them about it. They told me I am the only one who has been having issues. I told them to look at this thread, but they still denied everything.

Picked up a 32gb white 4s from Future shop at yonge and dundas. they had a few there. Will return the unlocked one on Monday or sell it if people are buying.

Just got updated tracking. My phone is now in Alaska with an estimated delivery on Tuesday, so apparently they won't get the same expedited treatment as those who were lucky enough to have Apple actually follow through on the launch day delivery commitment.

I was just told that if your package is currently sitting in Concord it will not be delivered until Tuesday.

I called UPS to pass along the buzzer code for my building and was told by a supervisor that the package needs to be split out of the bulk shipment and then dispensed to the final distribution centers and that this will occur on Monday. Furthermore, as mentioned elsewhere in this thread, they will not allow for pickup from a center until delivery has been attempted at least once.

This was my order, I ordered a dock with my iPhone last Friday, my tracking shows it from last Friday to this Tuesday, it would have delivered on Monday if it wasn't because of Thanksgiving, I think you'll be surprised, I think they should be delivered on Monday if it's anything like this was, I'm hoping.

Edit: It was actually Saturday to Tuesday and I'm located no where near a main UPS distribution centre, not to mention that Purolator actually delivers my UPS pacakges. Splitting of the bulk of the packages won't take too much time either, it won't add an extra day on to the delivery, at least not in my experience.

Phew. That makes me feel better. My iPhone is coming to Saint John, and I was starting to worry about Monday delivery (because it hasn't moved from Mt Hope). I guess it looks like it'll be spending the weekend there.

I hope so, too. I don't know whether to believe them but they said that the reason for the extra day is that the orders are still grouped together as a single unit and they have to be split into individual orders and then sent to the distribution centers. By the time this happens the drivers will have already left the distribution centers to make Monday deliveries and so the packages won't be delivered until Tues.

Maybe your order wasn't shipped as part of a bulk order as the phones have been?

Tuesday? It seriously takes a day to distribute them? And they don't work on weekends? This is crap.

Edit: not to mention the shipment got there at NOON.

I just called and was told that my phone will definitely be delivered on Monday, as the UPS website indicates. Perhaps it depends on where you live? I'm only about 20 minutes from Concord, whereas some people in the Maritimes have said their shipments are also in Concord.
