I was just told that if your package is currently sitting in Concord it will not be delivered until Tuesday.

I called UPS to pass along the buzzer code for my building and was told by a supervisor that the package needs to be split out of the bulk shipment and then dispensed to the final distribution centers and that this will occur on Monday. Furthermore, as mentioned elsewhere in this thread, they will not allow for pickup from a center until delivery has been attempted at least once.

It's interesting that your delivery time is 10:30am and mine is 12pm. Where are you located? Thx.

walked in to Fido (London, ON.) 9:15am with not a single person in there. Walked out 9.40am with white' 4S :)

I really don't know why you guys continue to call these people these threads have tons of these stories of what they've been told, which have since be found out to be utter fabrications. These people that you talk to know absolutely nothing more than you can see on the screen and some probably don't even know that much.

I just called and was told that my phone will definitely be delivered on Monday, as the UPS website indicates. Perhaps it depends on where you live? I'm only about 20 minutes from Concord, whereas some people in the Maritimes have said their shipments are also in Concord.

I live at Yonge and Bloor. It's impossible to judge whether the UPS people know what they're talking about. :(

Just talked to Apple Store about my order that they didn't ship in time to make the delivery commitment they made. As others reported on here, they claimed that the delivery commitment was never made and that it was always a ships by october 14th commitment. That said, she did acknowledge that the site could have been wrong initially because it was "having problems". She didn't offer anything, and since she was nice I didn't press things or demand anything. I guess I don't have the balls for customer service calls like this.

I hope so, too. I don't know whether to believe them but they said that the reason for the extra day is that the orders are still grouped together as a single unit and they have to be split into individual orders and then sent to the distribution centers. By the time this happens the drivers will have already left the distribution centers to make Monday deliveries and so the packages won't be delivered until Tues.

Maybe your order wasn't shipped as part of a bulk order as the phones have been?

I mean, don't take my word for it, we'll definitely have them by Tuesday but I would still be betting on Monday with my past experience.

Also, I have had bad luck with couriers working on weekends however last weekend everything happened on the weekend. Starting to think Apple's getting special treatment with UPS at the moment with the iPhones.

I called UPS because my iPhone was sitting at the Annacis Island depot in BC the whole day and I told them that I needed the package urgently. They just dropped by my house right now!!!

Ordered 64GB black from apple.ca @ 3:54 EST Oct 7. In Ottawa.

Last ETA was Monday before 12:00.

No ETA showing now, left Concord @ 8:12 in transit to Ottawa...

Just got an alert... My 4S is out of concord, on the way to my destination facility. Looks like Monday, it is.

On the UPS site, mine is listed for Monday by 1030 for Toronto, but the phone rep said Tuesday by 1030 as it is a bulk package and needs to be separated.

This is also the reason they don't let you pay $23 for Saturday delivery.

Just have to wait and see.

Isn't concord a distribution point for at least the GTA?

Having to wait another day will be painful!

Well so much for that supervisors story that they wont be delivered till tuesday cause the bulk shipment is being broken down and they wont do it till Monday, seems like its broken down enough to send some to Ottawa and Montreal.

Interesting... Mine left at 9:11 bound for Kitchener. But the delivery date has disappeared. Now I don't want to get my hopes up again, but do you think they will deliver on Saturday?

Mine left Concord at 21:11 on its way to Kitchener.

Maybe the Reps are incorrect. If this is a bulk delivery then surely, if they are to be believed, your phones won't be moving until Monday, yet they are moving now.

Maybe there's hope still yet for a Monday delivery for us all.

No. Saturday delivery isn't usually offered to the shipment type we have. Don't even think about getting your hopes up, you'll be disappointed. However, if you do get a delivery, be very happy and feel very fortunate!!

Yeah, the bulk thing is looking more and more like bs.

Like I've said the reps that you call don't know anything more than what is on the screen.

If you've followed this or the international thread you've seen the loads of rubbish that people have been told by Apple Reps, and Courier Reps. For the life of me I do not understand why anyone puts any faith in anything they are told by these people. They say anything basically to get you to shut up and get off the phone.

I am pretty sure they were separated in MT Hope, as we all had different location scan times from there, and that is the main reason we missed the morning trucks from there to our respective depots.
If that's the case, why would our packages go from Mt Hope to Concord when the depot is in Kitchener? I've had all of mine go directly to Kitchener from Mt Hope.

Maybe because it was all one bulk shipment.. they all needed to go to Concord for the phones destined for Quebec, Ottawa etc.

Perhaps it was today at Concord that they were separated, since shipments are leaving for Quebec, Kitchener etc. All the phones have been in Concord for 9 or so hours.

Because we missed the trucks to our local depots. So they sent everything else to Concord (a main UPS distribution point) where they were then loaded up onto the night trucks so that they wer not sitting in MT Hope where they do not have a lot of storage room.

This is all hypothetical of course, but it makes sense. To me at least ;)
