Morning all! Been following this and the 24/4-8/5 forums for a while. Unfortunately I'm with the rest with my 42mm SG still in processing. Order confirmation 8:04.25

Something to point out. Yesterday I put an order for a 38mm white sport for the other half and my card was charged within about 1-2hrs later for it...

I'm with a lot of people with the fact these pre-orders weren't/aren't necessarily being done in order :( hoping for some movement today

From what i've been seeing elsewhere, they made more of the products that turned out to be the least popular than the ones that proved to be in demand. Apple should have understood from the whole 'favourites' thing that they had going on which watches would be wanted the most.

This whole thing is flawed, with those ordering exact same orders but later on getting their watch first, but hopefully they will learn and put a new method of dispatching things into progress next time - or actually listen to customer demand and make the items that are really needed.
 
Agreed but surely ordering a white 38mm only yesterday and already being charged so 2 weeks after preorders began.... That's a big stock difference. It's gotta be down to a manufacturing issue of the SG aluminium surely

As I said on another thread yesterday, there are 8 chances of getting a standard aluminium Sport Watch compared to the Space Grey model, simply because there are 8 models made with lighter aluminium compared to the 2 space grey models. Apple clearly made more of the lighter coloured aluminium watches than they did Space Greys.

This would be why more people are receiving their lighter coloured sport watches even after our orders for space grey. It's still no excuse though...

To add to this, i've seen in other threads on here that the blue, white and possibly green bands have more chance of being prepared to dispatch quicker even if you order them now. There's been people ordering them and then getting charged and having the status changed the next day, though it's pure speculation if any of this applies to the UK.

It doesn't help my anger watching this happen on other threads whilst our watches have been on 'processing' for just over 2 weeks. Though constantly refreshing the order page and this forum probably isn't helping either #
 
Is this because the back plate on the sport is plastic and not ceramic like the edition and normal. So my question is, I have ordered a 2nd charger which will be metal, is this one simply going to mark the plastic on the sport over time or is this simply a cost saving option by making a plastic version

Doesn't feel as quality as expectedT My main concern is the holes in the strap stretching! Although I think its the same leather that they use for the iPhone 6 cases - mine case felt this rough at first but now its super soft and nice to the touch. I hope this will wear (excuse the pun) well

Ceramic? Do you mean Stainless Steel, because that's why my additional cable is!

I'm sure it's cost saving only - the inside bit that touches the watch is still plastic, so it's purely a cosmetic change.
