ups has about 260 planes so i guess they use their own. only time they use other planes is when there is more cargo to transport like around christmas. also the website from cologne airport only shows the non cargo flights. so i guess we have to wait and wait for a status update from the tracking.

Yep you're right. So there is no way I'm gonna know where it lands, so sad

Patience is a virtue. :p

There is no live flight tracking information in UK/Eu maybe due to the strict security reasons (and as you know, they like to exaggerate things where you can see yourself from the flight ban due to the volcano and the last year's swine flu case estimation during winter)...

We're here, so gotta live with it.

P/S: However, we have flight arrival information in every airport, but only for passenger flights, NOT cargo flights. - I have been searching for days... :(

but there is one and its fun to watch
http://www.flightradar24.com/

Haha, cool!

thanks for making my night even more productive :D

Watching yellow planes moving along the screen is so much more fun than pressing cmd+r all the time :)

edit: I ordered a 15" HiRes glossy i7... ordered the 13th at 7.30 PDT, shipped the 16th via Syncreon (added an Apple Remote)
only got the WW... tracking number from apple, status says: In transit to customer - Shipment on schedule
it also states the status was updated 26 april :S

hey that's cool :)

That's what I am using too. It doesn't show all planes, just ones with the ADS-B transponder. I do believe UPS has them fitted on all their planes though, but I could be wrong.

You can turn on the callsign option in the menu... the one we are looking for (as if it isn't obvious) is UPSxxx :)

I found a nice little blog post from a UPS employee... I dont know if this is already common knowledge, but apparently all UPS flight inbound to Cologne arrive during the night. Maybe because this is an extraordinary circumstance they would make an exception? Otherwise it will be atleast 24 more hours till we see any products on european soil...

It must have been flooded by users from this forum:

Users online: ≈A Lot!

Haha..

I love how the headline is 'we said cash - not ash' - ;)

Am i the only one who zoomed in on Cologne and get highly excited every time a little yellow plane enters the screen? :D

Right, I suggest we get together and draw up a roster so we have all the night time hours covered... that way when our UPS plane comes out of the darkness and appears on the map we won't miss it :D

In the Köln airport I can't find any flights to or from Aisia. Maybe those are lists of passenger flight only, cargo planes being listed somewhere else.

Yeah, those will only be passenger flights.

One other thing, why does it go via Korea of all places, isn't it the opposite direction? Also, if that is the case why are our MBP's not stranded in Korea, not Shanghai? Doesn't seem right to me.
