ANC is Anchorage? Just doesn't seem right... I agree with your observation that if they were in fact going via Incheon they would most likely be stranded there... Also, one of the Danish guys posted a screenshot in the 'Is your MBP shipped yet' thread and it clearly showed that the last time he ordered (iMac 27") a month ago, it went from Shanghai to Cologne and then onwards from there, i am pretty positive thats the same route ours is taken - the other stuff just doesnt make any sense...

i guess that could mean they will fly in 5 hours to cologne. that would be awesome
Yep, but I think we made a lot of speculation. We don't even know if the macs are in Incheon. The last scan says Shanghai. But they do seem to go through Incheon. Check my thread from 2008 when I was waiting for a BTP uMBP.

As you can see the departure scan from Shanghai is around 2 then departure scan from Incheon around 9. Which would fit into the 10.50 am flight scenario.

Sure, but if (big IF) the flight goes from Shanghai to Incheon then they wouldn't require a massive turnaround I guess, as time at the airport will cost money. It still makes no sense though.

German airspace closing has been extended until 2 PM tomorrow. There will be some flights with special permissions, but i highly doubt that airlines will get one of those permissions for cargo while tens of thousands of people are still stranded in airports around the world.

aeh not true. check some of the links. airports are open again and planes can land and take off. sure there are limitations but still. dont you take away hope!:

I have a couple of questions:

I am presuming our UK bound MBP's will fly into Koln and then onward. Partly due to what I see on the tracking, but could that just be because that is where their main depot is? Does it mean necessarily the shipment has to go there first?

Secondly, if that is the case then would the MBP then fly out of Koln to the UK or would it go over land?

Some example tracking reports of similar routes already done would be much appreciated.

Way back in the beginning of this thread one of your fellow countrymen explained the process. He used to drive lorry going to Cologne to pick up cargo to the UK and he was very convincing in saying that it would definately go to Cologne first and then via Lorry to the UK. When going to Denmark it would most likely goto Malmo by plane and then by lorry from there...

Yeah, just found Rogue's post, must have missed it the first time around. :)

Good news to hear that UPS is finally flying into Europe...
My tracking info hasn't changed since last Saturday... I'm really wondering where my package is hanging out atm!

My guess is UPS HQ in Shanghai. Ours are stuck at the airport because they were initiated before the delays started. Once the delays were official my guess is they halted movement of EU bound packages until the airspace situation sorted itself out.

Hey, een leerdammer :) ik denk dat we in dezelfde zending zitten, alleen ik heb geen track&trace van UPS omdat ik via Syncreon ga (Apple Remote wordt als het goed is in Tilburg bij de zending gevoegd)
/local mode off/

I'm probably in the same shipment, but i've got no UPS tracking nummer because it's merged with my apple remote in Tilburg, NL

I have received a change to my shipping info at some point today, hopefully this means they are starting to move them =]
Regardless, "Merge in Transit GB" is the most useless piece of information ever.

Estimated Delivery Date (Subject to change) 05 May 2010 (Subject to change)
Current Delivery Status In Transit to Customer - Shipment on Schedule 26 Apr 2010

I guess you're right. Then I'm wondering why UPS doesn't update the trackers accordingly... mine still says delivery today... which doesn't really makes sense :)

Nice, more Dutchies! Guess then yours will take even longer to arrive at your place in Dordrecht... Good luck with the long wait!
