Same in Germany. Extended to at least 2 am Tuesday

Cool, it's only 10h from how. Question is will UPS be ready to send a plane on the basis the airspace opens. Will out MBP's be on that plane? Is there a possibility they will wait even longer to be sure they won't close it again bearing in mind the flight is approx 15h?

Found an interesting blog post with some information about how the apple delivery process works. It explains what will happen regarding the sleeve and MBP I ordered and how they're combined at the European Distribution Centre.

Your order for both your new Mac and sleeve come together at the European DC, and then sent on to the UK DC near Leicester at this point you would get your full detailed tracking

It doesn't mean it will open though ! It's closed at least to that date. They will probably change the date in some hours.

Agreed, although the wording is slightly different at the moment. Whereas before they were saying "closed at least until x", they are now saying "we are hopeful of re-opening at x".

It seems this is on the back of the volcano calming down a bit and conditions getting steadily better.

Fingers crossed :D

Ugh. I need to hibernate until it's delivered. :(

lol.

Dont worry once it does get to the UK DC, you tend to get things the next day. Never add items like cases or sleeves if you are in a rush for hardware, had you placed two orders one for the Mac one for the sleeve the mac would have been sent by UPS and normally direct not via UK DC but then you may have had to pay a shipping charge for the case.

The way Apple sells and ships its products over the last 12 months has been a mess, the ipad is perfect example or how they shipped the 27" iMacs lots of people got cracked screens its not like they are new at this any more.

On another point, you should find that you are not fully chanrged for the items until they reach EU/UK DC

ok cool.

All the Danish media are reporting that the volcano is no longer spewing out ash at an altitude that will force it towards europe - this is awesome news! With a little luck and no more eruptions chanced are that the aerospace could be opened tonight or at least tomorrow morning!

In that blog he said that they will combine products in The Netherlands. Since I live in NL hopefully it will be a lot shorter. Only good news today.

Status: In Transit to Customer - Shipment on Schedule

Hi,

My status changed from the boring "Shipment dispatched (16.04)" to "In Transit to Customer".

Is it a good sign???

Just to tell you about the danish shipment process: Here is a screeshot of a imac i received earlier this year. It should make it clear to everybody, that the brokerage clearing happens when the machine is still in china:)

On another note, my 13"base mpb is still in china, delivery pushed back from today, until the 22nd.
My 15" CTO Mbp wont ship until 1st of may

I live in Copenhagen.

Hi!

I have the same status for a base 13" MBP headed to Germany. Original delivery date was today...

The same happened to me.
If our orders are indeed sent through TNT, it is an incredible sign. It most likely means that our mbps are now in Spain and are due to be shipped to the Netherlands and then whatever country we are in by trucks.

What do you mean by incredible? Indeed TNT is the final carrier (after kuehne nagel) but I thought the route was Germany, Netherlands then TNT to Switzerland.

I thought (from my previous purchases) that the "In Transit to Customer" status is used when the product leaves China. Anyone can help me with that one?
