What do you mean by incredible? Indeed TNT is the final carrier (after kuehne nagel) but I thought the route was Germany, Netherlands then TNT to Switzerland.

I thought (from my previous purchases) that the "In Transit to Customer" status is used when the product leaves China. Anyone can help me with that one?

"In Transit", is placed as soon as it is collected in china.

does anybody know what that Syncreon thing is... there is a tracker of some kind on their website but doesnt like any of the numbers.

I've got the WW<long number> and the 81<sort-of-thing> number as well.

and does say its in transit, but that about all information I have, getting a little bit nervous about the whole situ, because my old mac has stated overheating and freezing lately, so need to sent it for a repair (still on apple care), that would leave me without computer.

the WW number is what was Walsh Western, and this will change to a UK tracking number once it goes thru the UK DC. It should update to a TNT number, however as soon as it says UK DC you can enter the 81 number in the international tracking section of TNT tracker using ref number

In short you have added something to your order that needs to merge in transit

this is the link to use either the 81 number once it hits the UK DC or your TNT tracking number..

My stock model 13" seems to be really coming from Prague, Czech Republic, and is on its way to Cologne right now. Expected delivery: Wednesday. I've got it bundled with the new remote *lol*

This seems to be consistent with the Apple Sales Support. They told me these machines are coming from Prague - e.g. no problems with the volcano :D

Update from the Netherlands,
A national newspaper "De Telegraaf" reports that the flight routes between Shiphol and Shanghai, New York and Dubai will be started up tonight, Let's hope that includes freight planes :)

This must be the stock model, isn't it? If not, it must be coming from China! ;)

I'm gonna phone UPS and get them to make sure my new MacBook Pro tries to find itself an apartment while it's out there in Shanghai for such a long time. I feel like my shipping status is going to sit at "origin scan" forever!

Thanks for the detailed info, and yes I did indeed add Apple Care.

Just to summarise, so there would be NO way of tracking it until it reaches the UK and gets handed over to TNT?

I'm in the UK and ordered a CTO (hi-res, upgraded hdd and upgraded RAM) on April 15 which has an estimated delivery of 29-30 April. The apple order status states 'Prepared for shipment'

I got curious and called Apple to find out if it was gonna get stuck in China. Spoke to a very helpful guy (Brit living in Texas!) who said the laptop was in Leicestershire! I am very surprised. Anyway, he gave me his email address and said I can email him if I want an update at anytime.

Only thing that concerns me is that originally I accidentally ordered a separate AppleCare pack so my Shipping Method ended up showing as 'Merge in Transit GB'. I called Apple right after placing my order and they took off the extra AppleCare so in theory 'Merge in Transit' should no longer be required. So I'm hoping my order isn't waiting to pointlessly go from Leicestershire to the Netherlands before coming to mine.

according to spiegel (german news site) lufthansa will get some planes that were stuck in asia and other places back to germany today. they should have started some hours ago and will arrive within the night/tomorrow. i have no idea if that also means the ups planes will come but i guess there is hope that they could arrive by tomorrow and then all orders will be delivered. UPS uses CGN (the international airport Cologne/Bonn) as their hub. So yeah, they use it :)

Great news for you guys :)

Actually I'm one of those "Kuhne & Nagel, In transit to final destination - carrier details to be updated shortly" guys, so I've no clue about the route of my MBP

Hi Gan, you're on Kuhne & Nagel might be because you have purchased a "side product" which might be going to Amsterdam to be packed together prior to reaching your doorstep.

I have desperately tried to find flight tracking info for Shanghai Pudong (which is where UPS' hub is located) but it seems to be very sketchy... There are no flights listed outbound for Cologne afaik. So im thinking that the info that i am able to find only covers commercial air traffic and not cargo. I am pretty sure UPS would be operating their own flights between two of their main hubs.
