given that it's now 1:15am in shanghai, i guess i better stop checking my tracking widget to see if my mbp has changed to 'shipped'... but i know i probably won't. what a loser

I finally received a tracking number. TNT of course for deliveries to Norway. In transit in Arnhem
Will hopefully be able to pick it up my self at the Tnt place here in Oslo (I'm glad TnT allows us to pick up the package, unlike UPS).

hmm, I've just realized that there will be nobody at home to pick it up. What's the UPS's policy in that case ? Will they come again ? Can I pick it up somewhere ?

ok thanks. The InterceptSM is only for shippers though, so I will have to wait for the next deliveries or till I can pick it up.
Yes, the only thing i can think of is to contact UPS and see if they can do something before the package is deliverd. Also find it kind of strange that it's not possible to edit delivery before the first failed one...

Nope, that means it is still in Shanghai. They are awaiting the 'ok' from customs .. which is in germany.. after that they'll start off.. check Tex-Twil's UPS tracking, that's the way it usually goes.. without that on/off-loading thing

Which is now, 21.01 WARSAW PL Departure Scan... My estimated delivery date changed, too.. from may 5th to may 6th.
This is driving me nuts. My reference number ("Ihre Liefer-Referenznummer lautet") is 8113xxxxxx.
I tried ups.com and tnt.com with this number, but both say that there is no information for this number.
What am doing wrong? I just want to know where the package is.

That one is only Apple's number. Check out that link "Verfolgen sie Ihre Bestellung online" within your confirmation mail. you'll find the carriers number there.
EDIT: Checked it myself.. sign-in "Orderstatus" and then you'll find the "Spediteurs-Referenznummer"

mine as well --- but from looking at order progresses from other people it could very much be delivered tommorrow........ guess we will find out soon enough..
Hmm, that's strange... I've only the invoice number 90518xxxx on the order status page - there is no other number, but it say's that the MacBook Pro was sent on April the 30th.
Shouldn't I receive the tracking number as soon as I receive the "shipping" email?

fyi - my i5 MBP took only 48 hours from Shanghai to Germany... no idea why it still takes that long for certain people... it was a CTO HR-AG

Well, i think it has to pass at least one distribution center in Belgium, but i guess you won't see that on the UPS page... When I got my iPod, it was there, so you'll see... sorry for such a stupid answer^^
Mh.. try the US-Site (store.apple.com) they are actually a bit faster with the tracking number shown on the start page.

Since this is my first mac, I thought I would mention that I am happy with it so far. No defects, that I can tell, with the screen or case. I was worried about the HR screen, as my eyesight is not 100%, but I shouldn't have worried...so far the websites I have visited have been quite legible.
I'm also quite enjoying the trackpad experience, though I am not 100% comfortable with the keyboard yet.

Ordered: MBP 15" i7, HR AG, 7200HD - 19th April (merge in GB)
Shipped on 26th April
Arrived on Tuesday 4th May, (delayed by 1 day, because of the UK bank holiday).
Now all I need to do is get my head around the OS and I'll be happy.
