Our MBP is stranded in ShangHai thread [UK/Eu]

Mine's arrived! Gotta say 'great work ups' picked up in shanghai monday at lunchtime, now arrived...
 
Man, how do you get to see the detailed tracking details? Mine has been stuck at "in transit to final destination, carrier details to be updated shortly" since Saturday. This was taken from the apple website

Check your status at www.ups.com ! You'll find the tracking number on the apple site. Use the US-Site, they're faster than the other's and you'll find the tracking number on the front page.
 
Mine said departed Memphis tennessee at 343 am today, but I live in ga. It said it's on schedule by 12 today. I work overnight and was planning to stay up for it and was hoping for 11am, but now it looks like by 3 pm. :mad:

I can't find the order number to use for some reason. I tried order number, PO number, additional order number, and delivery number, but none worked. Any help appreciated. Thanks!

Don't forget that this is a Europe/UK thread ;) There is another one for you US people somewhere.

Just to let you know... Apple has the cheapest agreement with TNT possible, at least for deliveries to the Scandinavian countries (I spoke to TNT this morning about Apple orders...)

This means in general that all Apple orders going to for instance my country, Norway, are going by truck from Netherland with the lowest possible priority (if the truck ends up full, the Apple order will have to wait for the next avaible truck) and then needs to go trough TNTs' hubs in both Denmark and Sweden before entering Norway:mad:

Ordered on the 14th - still waiting for the TNT truck to enter Norway...

Yes ... TNT have told me the same!

Would be quicker if they sent it by post (literally!)

I called apple and it seems my order is still stuck in Shanghai. He said it should be boarding the flight today though. Fingers crossed I receive my macbook pro by the end of this week!

yep. it just left it. And will probably arrive this afternoon (around 6pm) to Warsaw then during the night to Cologne.
 
I'm in France, I ordered my standard 13" MBP April 15th to my Apple Reseller and... still nothing!!!

I called them today and the salesman told me that the waiting was due to the volcano, planes can't fly... WTH?!!! :mad:

My previous orders to Finland have been delivered via TNT as well, but this one was handled by UPS. I do not know why, as they are apparently still using TNT as well.

That's a lame excuse. I ordered my BTO MBP on the 16th with other goodies which delayed the final delivery even further and I got the lot yesterday. It looks like there are some resellers using the volcano excuse to fob people off. If this isn't the case, Apple may be putting resellers lower in their priorities due to the demand. That's my theory anyway.
