It seems my MBP (which I ordered a few hour after the update) will finally be leaving Shanghai tonight :)

SHANGHAI, CN 25/04/2010 4:49 DEPARTURE SCAN

My 15" i7 Macbook Pro has been stuck in shanghai with the message:
Delay Due To Bad Weather. Recovery Action Underway
since monday.

You shall have a constant refresh here:
Korea Incheon Airport - Cargo Arrivals

Hope that explains! =)

P/S: It will depart for Germany after Koea based on the previous data.

There are 2 flights from SHANGHAI, CN:

It probably just landed in Incheon and will depart to Cologne at 10:10.
Just messed around in that site and that's what i'm guessing. ;)

So the route will be from Shanghai going to Korea, then going to Cologne, then from Cologne it will go to its final destination, am I right?

sounds like a lot of traveling for my MBP :(

The UPS tracking system is really frustrating. I mean even with the delays is it always so vague?
You see the same scans again and again, everytime when you get a little hope that your MCB is on it's way you see Shangai again.

That would be my guess too after checking out the flightplan. Then about 10 to 12 hours of flight (?), so that it'll reach cologne before midnight, just in time to get the delivery out on monday for the german guys like me. At least, that's what i hope :D

Any idea why the US Tracking site is giving me "Prepared for Shipping" whilst the UK sight is still displaying "Not Yet Shipped" ?

Weird that they're not in sync..

(in a ferris beuler voice) ... Anyone? Anyone? Anyone?

(in a ferris beuler voice) ... Anyone? Anyone? Anyone?

Many non-US stores don't have the "prepared for shipping" state, they'll go straight from "not yet shipped" to "shipped on ...".

Also, the US store will show the UPS tracking number right after shipping.

I sure hope our MBP's are on the 10:10 flight to Cologne. Because if they aren't the next plane to Cologne is only on Tuesday.

Edit:
I think UPS may just have lost my package.
The status is "Your package has experienced an exception." and all the updates expect for the "PACKAGE DATA PROCESSED BY BROKERAGE" ones are gone!

Hope is just a glitch.

W. T. (mother)F?

My goddam status went from EAST MIDLANDS arrival scan on friday night to "Exception" and this....

Ok, something is surely wrong on their end.

"ANCHORAGE, AK, US - ARRIVAL SCAN" What ?!? I'm in Europe ... what the hell is the computer doing in the US.

ok

everything is back to normal on my end, east midlands arrival scan again... im sure yours will be fine too (they cant possibly have sent it the wrong way around the world!)

phew. don't think I could've coped with another 4 days looking at this forum.. its already gotten out of hand

When I spoke to the Apple rep about my order (Merge in Transit / Syncreon) the guy sounded really confused and suggested the tracking systems were acting up and inaccurate. I'm guessing the above might be why. Sit tight, it sounds like a computer glitch.

Okay, what the CRAP is my Macbook doing in Alaska?

Wow Ive had three macs delivered in the last three months, (see tracking data in previus posts) but it never went via anchorage. Exiting with a new route... Guessing it Will be out for delivery ón monday in Denmark:)

Hey guys,
Don't worry too much (I hope)

From what I saw on the incheon airport site, it said that the only ups flight at 10:10 was to anchorage and underneath (in the tooltip) it said Almaty,Cologne,Warsaw. This suggests that the plane is going through multiple stops to get to our desired destination (cologne).

I am slightly anxious as to why there was an arrival scan at anchorage, assuming the cargo never left the aircraft. what it could mean is that they took out some things and then put it back in?

Maybe the Alaska route is quicker, as the next plane out to Korea wouldn't be until today?

Edit: so the Alaska stop is just a refuelling stop? Any idea when the flight will resume? And what it's next stop is?
