Our MBP is stranded in ShangHai thread [UK/Eu]

I think the only fault on their part is that they don't offer a priority option for shipping. Free shipping is great for those of us who don't mind a week wait, but for people who want to click "pay" and have the laptop drop on their lap, it's not great. Apple have at least sent an apology for the delays for which they have no responsibility whatsoever. It's all up to UPS to deliver the machines reliably.

This is quite a weird route for the packages to take to get to Europe.
Mine was also rescheduled to the 29th.
Let's just say i'm not happy with UPS.

It's not UPS's fault that Apple's website is not working and no one can check their order status...
One weeks wait is wishful thinking, it will be almost a month by the time I receive mine... (according to my expected delivery date)

True - the store being down for maintenance now and again is Apple's problem, but it's typically never for that long. Try again later!

With whom, exactly? What is your planned outcome? A formal apology from Eyjafjallajökull?

EDIT: FYI, you ordered 72h after me and mine only hit Europe yesterday I think.
 
I still can't figure out why the hell its in Alaska. There is no airspace closed or even close to that so it's not a problem with the Eyjafjallajökull volcano.
Backlog ? They said it would be cleared by the 23/24.

A written apology from Eyjafjallajökull would be nice! But no, I'm going to be calling Apple tomorrow anyway to ask about my guarantee.

I don't think it's possible that I ordered 72h after yours, as I ordered mine the morning following the day they came out.

Seems all the pages are without delivery date now. (afraid to make any promise now.)

any idea when they might move? from what I've seen, earliest chance is on Tuesday.
 
:ere's my 2 cents.

The next flight out to Korea > Poland > Germany was full, because of the huge backlog. It would've taken too long for our Macs to ship so they've sent them to Germany via Alaska > United States (Kentucky?) > Germany (Cologne). This makes sense in two ways: fist, we get our Macs quicker. Second, it clears out their backlog faster.

Hopefully we will have our Macs on our laps within the next 36 hours.

well got the departure scan form anchorage where is it heading now louisville or something?
 
I wouldn't go for the 32hours, since my Delivery Date just changed to the 29th, Thursday. So I really can't imagine getting it before that.
Just got the Departure Scan as well.

Am I the only one who hasn't got any tracking numbers or anything yet? I am still at "Merge In Tnst NL Til" and "Estimated Delivery Date (Subject to change) 03 May 2010 (Subject to change)", "Current Delivery Status In Transit to Customer - Shipment on Schedule"
