from previous posts the flight goes....

Shanghai - Japan - Alaska - Kentucky - ?

Mine hasn't got any Jap scans though, so I don't know if it will go to Kentucky either. And I can't see any posts saying where it goes after Kentucky.

My MBP is now in Alaska too. Sadly the delivery date now also moved from 26th (Mon) to 29th (Thu). I guess we cannot expect our MBP to arrive anytime soon if they went to Alaska.

oh well... I did not get a magic f***ing tracking number yet, but the estimated delivery (on apple's site) moved from 26th Monday to 28th... WTF Apple?

I am gonna phone em up as it arrives and ask what the deal with my apple care, and why it stared while it was in transit, if they are unable to resolve it I will return and and buy a new sofa for the living room instead... for all I care..

oh ermm... and did anybody who had Merge in Transit received their magic tracking numbers yet?

Hope yet?

OK, I have been only reading here so far. My MBP also was stuck in Shanghai until recently and is now in Anchorage. So our MBPs haven't been sent to Cologne via Korea and Poland. I have found some information here:

http://flightaware.com/live/flight/UPS81 (the site actually can display the whole UPS flight at once...)

This is an UPS flight that has started in Shanghai, landed in Anchorage and is now en route to Louisville. That just MIGHT be the one with our computers on it. Of course, there was no departure scan from Anchorage - but if the plane was not really unloaded there, they might have just made a quick scan to determine wether to unload that container at all...

Hey, it's fun to speculate, but if I'm right, we might see a Lousville scan in about 4 hours...???

Okay, what the CRAP is my Macbook doing in Alaska?

Better than mine. I got a departure scan in shanghai at 25/04/2010, 5:55, a few minutes than yours, but then it stucks at Korean with an arrival scan at 25/04/2010 8:12. And my estimated delivery time on the ups website is gone. before it stated 26.4

Can anyone help detirmine which flight my MacBook is on. I had a departure scan for 25/04 @ 05:55 after an export scan.

seems like yours and mine are together, since we had the same departure scan at 5.55 instead of 4.49 like others.

Now theirs are in Alaska, and mine (most likely with yours) is still in korea.

Now theirs are in Alaska

Well that's quite a bit further away. I mean I don't mind if they manage to get my MBP to europe within the 20 hours - I have my doubts though. So far all UPS did was screwing me over - why should that change now.

So Flightplan looks like this now ??

Shanghai - Anchorage - Louisville - Philadelphia - Cologne

This is absolutely crazy, that journey is around 19.000 km. Compared to Shanghai - Seoul - Warsaw - Cologne that's about twice as long.

Yes, it's a lot longer, but it seems there is a lot more traffic from se-asia to usa than to europe. Obviously, the one flight to europe was full (or cancelled, as it doesn't show up in flightaware.com). But there was this big 747 headed to louisville via anchorage with some space left. Regarding that the next scheduled flight from Shanghai via Incheon to Cologne was only planned for tuesday I think that is the better way.

Lets all hope, that our MBPs are really onboard UPS81 and we'll se them arriving in Lousville in 3 hours...

And from Luisville there are direct UPS flights to Cologne. Theoretically it COULD go very fast now. If UPS really wanted it to...

Guess they can drop off some orders from u.s as well.

But you still probably can get it on monday/tuesday. Mine is still in korea, and had to wait for the flight on Tuesday.

My MBP got an arrival scan in Anchorage as well - even though I ordered from Berlin, Germany. Where is it headed to next? Is there a chance I'll be seeing the delivery man on monday here in Berlin?

EDIT: Just spotted that UPS changed my estimated delivery date to APRIL 29th  ... It was April 26th before :(.

Same here.
Was 26th, now 29th (on UPS)

And it seems Apple's Order Status is offline. They'll be updating the delivery date as well...

Anyone else stuck on Departure Scan from Cologne since yesterday? My delivery date of tomorrow has disappeared. Hope it's still going to be tomorrow.

WTF!!!

Mine is going to Lisbon...

Is it going to DE than back to PT?

This is the worst service I've ever seen!

There are people that got it sent on the same day as mine and already have it since 23th:

Apparently UPS don't normally ship on Saturdays - only Sundays at the weekend - so there shouldn't be any change over the course of a Saturday

Mine didn't get a departure scan neither yet. Seems like the next step will be Louisville, Kentucky and then Cologne. Does anyone know when the next flights are?

Still waiting to receive my first ever Apple notebook.
Never had to work so hard to order a notebook (or pay so much for that matter).

Now I cannot even check tracking because the Apple Order Status page is down!

I keep reading everywhere Apple is such a marvellous company. Quite honestly, so far I don't see it !
