Our MBP is stranded in ShangHai thread [UK/Eu]

I'm pretty confused now.
I ordered on the 13th just after the store came back up.
Shipped on the 16th - Merge in Transit GB (stupidly ordered a ****ing remote wih it)
On the UK tracking site it says:
Transit to Customer - Shipment on Schedule 26 Apr 2010
But it also says:
Estimated Delivery Date (Subject to change) 05 May 2010 (Subject to change)
and on the us site:
Shipped on: Apr 16, 2010 via Merge in Transit GB
Delivers: 27 Apr, 2010 - 28 Apr, 2010
Have any Merge in Transits been delivered yet across Europe?

Did you order anything else like a bag?
If you did then they ship your MBP to Amsterdam to pack it together with whatever you ordered. I talked to Apple last week about it.

Just called Apple again.. and predictably got a completely different status from my earlier call.
Ordered : 20th
"Prepared for Shipment" : 24th
So previously today I was told "It was already on its way from China"...
Called today and was told "It hasn't been built yet" .. ?? seriously. what is going on? Why are the merge in transit orders getting delayed soo much?
Why does it take 3 weeks to receive something that we've already paid over the odds for (over the odds for quality and customer service).
If I was a completely new customer.. (Which I _kinda_ am), I'd cancel now and never go with Apple again. I'm disgusted that no one seems to have the faintest idea what's going on, and we're getting these mixed status's depending on who we speak to.

Still no info on site. Stil no tracking number. Still merge in transit xD
Mines pretty much the same except it shipped on 17th and gave me a us estimate delivery for the 5th may aswell (not 16th).
It's ironic that those who order Applecare get screwed over. I ordered a printer too, but still, flights have been resumed since around Wednesday last week, and they have very little excuse to take so long considering the amount of money each of us have paid them.
But it should only take an extra day, surely ? The fact that Apple can't explain to their customers what's happening with the merge in transit orders is frankly, a disgrace.
Damn don't know what to think.

I think the only way they'll sit up and take notice is if people threaten to cancel their orders.....
The one thing that this whole merge in transit fu**up is that Apple customer services are no different from any of the other computer companies. Even Dell can't be any worse than this. That is a very sad thing for me to realise after many years of singing Apples praises to all and sundry
