Hi everyone

My MBP shipped via TNT on April 17th and has been stuck in Shanghai since last Monday! Is anyone else whose MBP was shipped by TNT experiencing the same delays?

Greetings from Switzerland!

Maybe Apple have not paid their TNT bill :D

Its TNT who deliver the merge in transit stuff thats not getting anywhere

Where are you getting your statuses from? am I missing something?

When I login to Apple (UK) and click on Track my Shipment, all I get is :

Estimated Delivery Date (Subject to change) 11 May 2010 (Subject to change)
Current Delivery Status Shipment dispatched 24 Apr 2010

on the left hand side I get:
Carrier Tracking Number
In transit to final destination - carrier details to be updated shortly.
Assigned Carrier
In transit to final destination - carrier details to be updated shortly.

Should I be going somewhere else to check the status??

Tracking information

For tracking to Norway, I had to take the number on my order page (starting with 31), remove the last two digits (since tnt only uses the first nine digits), and then enter that into the TNT website.

I haven't gotten any tracking information whatsoever on the apple order status page. Methinks TNT kinda sucks.

Apparently, mine hasn't gone through yet :( They're still recovering it ;)
But at least something's going on! Anyway, I hope you get yours soon!

Well, according the person at TNT it would take a couple of days for delivery. They're not in a hurry at all.

Hopefully yours will follow soon. :)

Those who are able to track their MBP are those who only ordered that one item. They get a direct tracking number. If you order additional items and spend more money.. you have to wait longer... they keep your laptop at the European Hub until they collect all of the items on your order.. then forward it in one go to you. At this point you get your tracking details.

Crazy! How did you come up with that?

Could you say what the heading for the number was? I have tried all of mine and haven't had any luck.

After phoning UPS and bitching at them mine has finally arrived (ordered 25 minutes after store came up on the 13th).

My condolences to those still waiting; I must admit I was going to order a few accessories with mine but was warned not to by my girlfriend before going ahead with the order. I'm sure it's not usually this bad though, the volcano has made a big mess of everything.

I must say some of the "I'll never recommend Apple to anyone ever again" is a bit extreme given how little of the current circumstances are their fault. This thread has shown me first hand that ordering accessories in the same order as a custom computer is a bad idea though...

I am a Europe "merge in transit" customer and I have just had my delivery date bumped up from the 11th of May to the 29th of April ....

Search for people in Europe waiting for Apple products _even before the volcano_. Merge in Transit customers in Europe who dare to customise their products have been being shafted for years. The volcano just made the ****** status quo even worse.

i got mine around 10am in the morning in portsmouth GB. my GF collected it! but i have to wait till thursday to see it thanks to my delayed ash cloud flight lol.

anyways, ive havnt posted much on this thread, even though i was also eagerly waiting for the MBP and following this thread at the same time. kept me busy and learnt alot about UPS flights and what not. now that ive got it, id like to say thank you to you all!

hope you guys get your MBP's soon! :)

arrg.

Getting quite pissed off now. I listened to all the other people bitching on this thread thinking "I'm more level headed than that".

Turns out I'm not.

Seriously Apple, whats going on?

From my Apple Order Status page.
I figured it out after I called TNT on a whim and asked them about it.

All I ordered was the MBP 17 i7 with AppleCare and iWorks. Are each of these really three separate items? That's just silly.

I only ordered a MBP and AppleCare -Shipped on 16th.. current location...unknown lol

But yes adding anything to your order other than the hardware means it has to go into their European Hub... great system isnt it?!

I think it is Apple's fault, they engage TNT to deliver the merge in transit orders. If TNT aren't capable of transmitting info to either Apple or the customer then they shouldn't have the contract.Maybe some people on here use their computer as a leisure device but my living depends on it, I don't have the computer, I don't earn, it's as simple as that.I don't therefore see my not recommending Apple to people as extreme at all, they're supposed to be a company that delivers a professional service to professional people and it's patently obvious they aren't doing that.

I think they need to hire a Business Process person to realign and streamline their processes....I'm available Apple if you need BPM.

I now have the following information in my Apple Account

"Current Delivery Status, In Transit to Customer - Shipment on Schedule, 29 Apr 2010"

"Estimated Delivery Date (Subject to change),10 May 2010 (Subject to change)"

"Shipped on: Apr 24, 2010 via Merge In Tnst NL Til
Delivers: 04 May, 2010 - 05 May, 2010"

I have to admit to feeling like a bit of an idiot for being confused earlier. Obviously the provided information indicates that my MBP will be arriving on the morning of May 3rd between 08:30 and 11:15.
