Hi everyone

My MBP shipped via TNT on April 17th and has been stuck in Shanghai since last Monday! Is anyone else whose MBP was shipped by TNT experiencing the same delays?

Greetings from Switzerland!

17 Apr 2010 23:33:48 Shanghai Shipment In Transit.
17 Apr 2010 20:36:17 Shanghai Shipment Collected From Sender.

+1 :-(

Exactly the same entry from TNT for me. I think I will call Apple tomorrow if nothing changed until then...

The one thing that this whole merge in transit fu**up is that Apple customer services are no different from any of the other computer companies. Even Dell can't be any worse than this. That is a very sad thing for me to realise after many years of singing Apples praises to all and sundry :(:(:(

I've recommended converting to Mac to a lot of people over the years, but I'll never do it again.OS X is a nice OS to use and I'm tied into it at the mo, but I can see myself returning to Windows in the future, I just can't bear the secrecy that surrounds Apple any longer.

Why can't Apple just email with 'you a pathetic loser, you will get your MBP in precisely 30 days' instead of leaving me in limbo with rubbish status details that are both ambiguous and confusing?

Mine's a 15" i7, high-res glossy with sleeve, applecare and remote. Still merge in transit, ordered 13th, shipped 16th. I was waiting patiently, but my 2006 macbook decided to eat it own harddrive on friday, so i'm getting a little anxious now!

If you are not happy about customer services and tracking email Steve Jobs..

Its pointless emailing or calling the Call Centre clearly they just look at the screen.

Email Steve, ask himt o get someone to look into it :D

In Transit to Customer - Shipment on Schedule

Here is what is received from Kuhne & Nagel Spedition s.a r. this morning:

"Dear Morgan,

the MacBook has arrived in Europe on the weekend and is scheduled for delivery into the Apple distribution centre in NL-Waalwijk this evening.

As mentioned before, once it has arrived there, it will be merged with the other two items being handed over to a parcel carrier.

Best regards,

Christian H (Lux FY)
Outbound Manager, High-Tech Operations

KN Lead Logistics Solutions
Kuehne + Nagel S.à r.l."

That means that some of us will probably get a tracking number by the end of tomorrow and hopefully a delivery by the end of the week...

I'm pretty confused now.
I ordered on the 13th just after the store came back up.
Shipped on the 16th - Merge in Transit GB (stupidly ordered a ****ing remote wih it)

On the UK tracking site it says:
Transit to Customer - Shipment on Schedule 26 Apr 2010

But it also says:
Estimated Delivery Date (Subject to change) 05 May 2010 (Subject to change)

and on the us site:
Shipped on: Apr 16, 2010 via Merge in Transit GB
Delivers: 27 Apr, 2010 - 28 Apr, 2010

Have any Merge in Transits been delivered yet across Europe?

Mine says exactly the same I asked for a copy of Iwork pre-installed and a VGA adapter..wish i hadnt now. Stil they sent me an email Friday saying it will be delivered this week, so fingers crossed.

Ditto - Had I known the grief I was setting myself up for- I would never have ordered a Macbook Pro. Wish I could cancel my order, unfortunately it's not possible.

That's my problem also. Need a laptop, need to organise a business trip - no promised tracking info from Apple - really disappointed.
Shouldn't have listened to those Apple worshipper fanboys wearing rose tinted glasses!

Not as far as I can see on this forum.

That's the problem, if you are "merge in transit" you don't have a clue where your MBP is, because Apple won't give you any tracking info.

A lot of pissed off people on this forum because of this.
Can't organise yourself, cause you don't know where your Macbook Pro is!

I called Apple last Friday and the rep told me my MBP was already in Switzerland (Buchs). Today, TNT told me it was still in Shanghai...
Extremely frustating...

Same thing, if you came across any of my posts you'd be sharing my frustration - Apple's systems are not presenting correct info. even to the staff in the call centres.

Hehe, then no need to call for me... :-(
It's clear, that with this volcano everything went upside down, but almost everybody with UPS shippment got theirs until now. Except the merged orders.
So what's up with TNT? They really suck. Flights are up again since 5 days or something...

Exactly, could be at some depot in europe, could still be in Shanghai.

I wonder if Steve Jobs has ever tried ordering one of his laptops... especially with included Applecare and "merge".... obviously NOT

I understand the delays, I do not understand the lack of info on tracking? I am worried my last mackbook pro ended up in another part of the country thanks to TNT it took them 5 days to find it....

Maybe the European Hub is full of iPads waiting to ship out to Uk customers lol

most likely Shanghai.. I will be VERY surprised if any of us merge in transit customers get our deliveries this week.

The worst thing is that everyone else is getting their Macbook Pros... !
