Hmmm

My estimated date for delivery is now the 4th May, what happend to the email last week from apple saying delivery will be next week....

what did you order?

MBP to Scandinavia with remote (CTO, I guess because of the non-US keyboard).

Why? Are you an Apple employee who is tired of my whining and planing to identify my order and re-direct it back to China? If so, I am very very sorry...

That's a very good question... Called Apple this morning about that and the did't give me a clue... They just offered a gesture of goodwill (cashback) that will be discussed after reception of my MPB and accessories.

I tried posting this in the "Has your MBP shipped yet"-thread, but there seems to be no answer there, so I'll try here too - maybe people here have a bit more experience with the (new) waiting game.

I ordered on the 14th of April, and finally got my shipping confirmation mail this Saturday morning the 24th, with the estimated time of delivery changed from April 28th/29th to May 10th, which then again changed to May 11th just a few hours later.

I'm getting a bit concerned though, since the tracking and carrier info have both been saying "In transit to final destination - carrier details to be updated shortly" since Saturday morning. How long did it take for you guys to actually receive this info once you got the shipping confirmation from Apple?

I've had that since the 17th. And so have everyone else with the merge in transit shipping method. Tis ridiculous I know

From my Apple Order Status page.
I figured it out after I called TNT on a whim and asked them about it.

I just have my invoice number there : 9051XXXXX1

am I missing something? Is yours merge in transit?

I tried the first 9 digits of that number on the TNT website and it matched up with some package that went LEEDS->LONDON in 2009...

My status finally changed to "Shipped" this morning.

Estimated delivery date changed from 3-4 May to 28 April!!

I won't be holding my breath on this one ;)

Ha Mines the same.
9051XXXXX2

Maybe my order was just after yours lol

I have never in my life seen such a confusing ORDER STATUS PAGE like the APPLE one:

This is what my page says:

Delivers: 05 May, 2010 - 10 May, 2010

Expected delivery 11 May

In transit, on time 30th April

WTF??

No tracking number, nothing

(The guy who created Apple's order status webpage must have been ********d!)

Apple - get your act together!

Gonna try out OSX now for the first time behind a mac ;)

Thanks for the answer - I took out some time and read the past ten or so pages in this thread, and have a pretty good idea of the whole problem with the "merge in transfer"-shipping method - it seems like all of us who ordered several items are in the same boat, with absolutely no way of knowing if we're going to get our stuff at the initial estimated delivery date or the one sent out in the "Your order is shipped" confirmation mail.

Personally, I should be getting mine by Wedensday/Thursday this week if the initial estimated delivery date is true, so I think I'll do as many have done and annoy Apple Store Customer Support by calling them for some kind of reassurance or info about where my order is at and when I might expect it - they have before given me much more info than what is written on the order status pages I have access to, so maybe I can get something resembling some tracker info if I'm persistent enough.

Here's to hoping that some of us with "merge in transfer" soon get some confirmation, tracker info or delivery so the rest of us have something to cling on to.

ooh, its here! quite a late delivery, 4pm

many thanks to everyone on here. you helped pass the time, and more importantly were a wealth of infomation.

thanks again,

richard.

I now have the following information in my Apple Account

"Current Delivery Status, In Transit to Customer - Shipment on Schedule, 29 Apr 2010"

"Estimated Delivery Date (Subject to change),10 May 2010 (Subject to change)"

"Shipped on: Apr 24, 2010 via Merge In Tnst NL Til
Delivers: 04 May, 2010 - 05 May, 2010"

I have to admit to feeling like a bit of an idiot for being confused earlier. Obviously the provided information indicates that my MBP will be arriving on the morning of May 3rd between 08:30 and 11:15.

Exact same thing for me, Shipped on the same date aswell, however my ETA was 29 April - 03 May, then it got bumped to 11 May upon shipping and then - today - went down to 10 May today (on the Shipmen Status page)

Turns out Apple Support KNOW where our Merge in Transit orders are! Seriously, all this time they've been able to access it but just refuse to tell you unless you push them. This just makes me get angry, but the details were a relief.

Apparently my printer is in their Hinckley distribution centre, and my MBP is sitting in Luxembourg customs, and it should get to the UK in a few days.

I can't believe that the Apple Reps have this information, but the paying customers don't get anything! I had to really push her to get any information, I was on the phone for about 20 minutes.

Ordered it April 13th, so these were a long 13 days!

I called the number just now (maybe 5mins ago) and the Reps did know where my Mac is. She said it is in the European distribution centre as well. When it will get to the UK? She also said the latest date is 3rd May which in Bank holiday in the UK!

I ordered the 17inch i7 with applecare. shipped on 17th April. Haven't got any tracking info!

:p

thanks mate, found their 0800 number and am callin them now

0800 0480408

UPDATE: My laptop is in Luxembourg, my printer in the UK distribution centre, supposedly all will meet in UK distribution centre within 3 days upon which I will receive a tracking number and then it is up to the courrier, so fingers cross it will arrive friday, you never know!

COMMENT: it is so nice to speak to a native english speaker! gotta give Apple some credit on that. I hate when every bloody company forwards their lines to India.
